As a beginner, my two main mistakes were lack of sleep and not eating enough. I was disappointed because my weight stagnated. Then I got my first diet plan (I think it was from Next Level Diet iirc). I realised that my previous food intake was way below my needs, although I thought I'm good. At the beginning it was hard to eat so many kcal in a day, but I got used to it. I started noticing real gains and it felt amazing. I wish I'd understood the importance of diet earlier.

I have nothing but the upmost respect for you for showing your vulnerability and humanity. Regular gym bros like me can watch and see that even the best of the best of all time can sometimes struggle not just mentally, but physically as well. Been following your videos for quite a while… its just struck me that as amazing of a physique you have created, your ability to be transparent, open and relatable is every bit as motivating and inspirational! ✊
He takes steroids and sadly normalizes them, "created" isnt the best term for this guy. Taking steroids is litrally cheating when it comes to fitness and bodybuilding.
@@micm2986 you realize taking steroids doesn’t make it any easier to be dedicated. They don’t put in the work for you or make your meals for you. Would I ever use them? No. However, people fail to realize that you can take steroids and still look like a joke. Chris works harder than your average person which is why he is successful, not just because he uses steroids.
@@micm2986 bruh in the sport everyone does it and once you're following them you would know they're on steroids.....he's still pretty honest about how he feels etc .....obvly he won't come out and say he's on steroids otherwise they'd ban him from competing

A hack i have been using for oatmeal in smoothies because i hate the texture is to blend up the oatmeal by itself in the cup first and then it turns to powder and you don’t get that grainy texture, Its a game changer!

Some companies sell oat powder that's in a fine powder. Works great for shakes. Muscle farms sells one for example.

He is bulking because he isn't at his optimal bf% . Once he gets there he won't bulk up more. He'll maintain that bf% and build muscle. Guess what that is called?
I like how you advocate to slowly increasing calories and slowly gaining weight because there are so many people who think you need to force feed to gain muscle. I also like your transparency when it comes to your weight loss. Keep up the great work, love your videos.

You’re a big inspiration for me Chris. I have type 1 diabetes and I’ve started to doubt that I will be able to build any muscle. I’ve gone to the gym for about 4 months and I’ve seen some muscle gains but as I said I’m starting to doubt that I will be able to grow muscle or that I will lose muscle tissue thanks to high blood sugar levels. I try to keep my blood sugar in range but it’s hard. I’ve eaten right, I sleep more than enough, I use proper form but I don’t think I’ll be able to build muscle because of my disease. I’ve loved bodybuilding since I was little and I feel sad because I feel that this is something I like to do
Not an expert obviously, but I’m confident that as long as you keep your sugars where you personally need them to be, you could adjust your fats and protein to hit the right macros and calories you need for muscle gain. And anyway, battling a disease like that and hitting the gym consistently and hitting it hard is more than most people would wanna do so keep going man you’re doing great
i am type 1 too buddy. i have pretty average control over my blood sugars. yes its hard and might take a little bit longer but it will come with time don't worry. i have been training for around 4 years now and am happy with the progress. type 1 should not limit you.

Surprised to see you over 1100 cal in that meal 4. Looks like far fewer calories. I’ll have to avoid that one. 4100 cals on a bulk for A massive professional bodybuilder 6 foot one 240 pounds of muscle and saw those of you thinking need to eat big to get big think again. If ur the avg guy 5 9 175 lbs Would likely don’t even need 3000 cal to bulk. Also keep in mind Chris is bulking because he has single-digit body fat he’s quite literally ripped right now if he were say 18% body fat and not 8% He actually wouldn’t need to bulk Nd and could just maingain keeping his bodyfat the same while adding muscle.
