For those wondering how the nutcracker works:
The NC doesn't aggro you if it doesn't see you move while the eye of the monster is popped out. This means while it's walking it won't see you as the eye is down. It can kick you to death while walking around if it runs into you but while it's aggro on you it will no longer kick you.
You must hit the NC while the eye is out to do damage. Startling the NC will cause it to aggro you and will remember you until it targets someone else.
It shoots twice before reloading, the reload delay and time before shooting is very short so be careful when attacking here.
And, don't try grabbing the shotgun from its hands when prompted. It will cause the NC to notice you and blast you instantly.

So as long as you crouch right in front of it it can't see you and so long as you can hit it five times you get an however many points the shovel cost gun

that moment at 0:25, the marching, the loud music echoing through the facility, all coming to a complete halt as the player makes the slightest of movements. the nutcracker checking the room with a loaded shotgun, looking closely down each hallway before marching off. obviously seeno was going to live, since he had hardly even moved, but still, it was terrifying

I love how it plays battle music when its in "combat." It's mostly just a slaughter farm at that point though.

I don't know if your joking in the description, but it's true. The Nutcracker's vision is movement based.
He patrols and occasionally stops to scan around him. If you dont move, he wont see you. Killing him is pretty easy as long as you choose where and when.
So if you aggro him, if you run around a corner and stop moving will he lose track of you? Does using an item count as movement if he hasn't seen you yet? I had no idea their vision was based on movement and I have so many questions now lol.
What if it's vision are just height based

@@SaireiTheDragon You can’t move or look around, not sure about inventory items. It will stay aggro’d on you until you are out of it’s vision for a while.

i'll have to check on if they're updated because sometimes they aren't always accurate. but to be fair the nutcracker was still new at this time and is still being learned about by players
Given the nature of the game I think a lot of people expect at least some of the bio entries to be purposefully misleading. And also the bios don't help much if you've never encountered something before (Or managed to scan it before dying, or made it back to the ship after the encounter).

Good thing that the shotgun is just a double barrel so it has to reload after two shots, giving the player plenty of time to get a few whacks in, but is it me or is the shotgun a sawed off?

it was self defense (your team attacked him/trespassed on his property and he spared you until you attacked him also!!)

So thank god the one that survived were holding the masks, to prevent them from possessing the dead bodies
