    I'm gonna need a decklist for that thegrea deck. Been trying to build one but I don't know the ins and outs.

    12:59 G1 Maple wont retire herself if you did not restand her by her effect.

  • @johnnywu8708
    @johnnywu8708 Год назад +3

    I like running the G1 Maple in the rideline, because it fixes a lot of awkward timing issues the card has in the main deck. If you don't see the G1 Maple early on to discard for ride, you end up running into situations where you have to forcefully call over it just to put it in drop or risk not seeing it at all. G1 Maple being in the rideline also opens up room in your deck for other cards, since you just need the 1 copy.
    I keep G2 Thegrea in the rideline for the top 5 search though. Regular Maple doesn't have any timing issues, so I feel comfortable running it in the main deck. Putting G1 Maple in the rideline means you do want to SB it out before you ride into Dark, but that's a minor problem compared being able to just fix all those weird timing issues.

      @impakt6345 Год назад

      How would you sb it out? I honestly find the g1 thegrea to be just better because it forces a guard or its a free drilling angel call if you have one in drop (g2 maple for example)

    Richard be careful, at 9:43 if you call the G1 Maple first, you won't be able to call out the G2 Maple afterwards cause of her skill, make sure you always call the G2 first before the G1 👍

    I actually play a version of Thegrea that uses only 1 Dark and it's the ride deck one and I play 3 of the new order in order to cheat off a restand turn 3 whilst not missing out on the +2 that Light gives you, it's a bit piece reliant but that + running maple g1 means you get a pretty smooth start IMO, I also tech 1 Tanaluru in case of CB choke (I don't know if Richard just didn't have it or not but the G3 Promo makes a big difference in hand plus for the deck)

    I’d argue Kheios’ ride line is worse.

    In hindsight I shoulda taken out the rear he left in the front so Alvan shaved more cards out of hand instead of being blocked by intercept. I let that happen twice 😖

    • @gerohikaru2712
      @gerohikaru2712 Год назад +1

      As well you should be always letting Magnolia swing first as Alvan's much more valuable at 5. Especially if you're able to draw a trigger as giving a trigger to Alvan will force a trigger and another card regardless.
      Magnolia decks mostly go VG first because triggers will dictate your attack pattern for the most part and will allow you to think ahead. Another pairing you can go for is Boljackorn being the first attack to block out intercepts then attack with Magnolia as a tech choice.

    • @gerohikaru2712
      @gerohikaru2712 Год назад

      To add. Alvan is an intercept at 13k. But when he is at 23k, he will rip 2 cards no matter what unless they're running special intercepts or they're not guarding from hand/orders.
      Putting 2 triggers on him isn't optimal as it will make an inefficient hand guard to an optimal one. Giving him one trigger when he is out will work wonders for you the next time you play with em! GL!

    I'm assuming Richard wanted to use the Blitz PG on Magnolia's attack instead at 8:54 because he didn't pay a discard for it at 9:25 on a rearguard attack.
    12:45 G1 Maple only dies if you restand her.
