I am an adult doll collector who creates videos for adult doll collectors and doll enthusiasts to enjoy. In today’s video we’re unboxing a vintage Jesmar baby doll from the 1980s from its original packaging! Then we’re taking a step back in time to watch a live show that was selling the dolls with live callers calling in to talk about their excitement over this new amazing doll!

I loved these dolls back in the late 80s! I had an African American set of boy and girl and a Caucasian set. I also had a set made by Miglioratti, an Italian company, that looked very similar. China got involved and produced their own set that looked the same as the Jesmar ones and sold them through adds in the local newspapers. They sold them for $10.00 each. I had a set of those as well. They were a much cheaper harder vinyl though. Just a note, the most realistic all vinyl anatomically correct baby in my opinion was the Berjusa La Newborn produced in 1985. Berjusa eventually became JC Toys - Berenguer that produce dolls today as you know. Thanks for sharing this box opening! I loved seeing her.

I remember those dolls. I had a friend who got a boy and a girl for her granddaughter. She even made a cute little rocking bassinet for them and gave them to her granddaughter at Christmas time. I was so jealous! Her granddaughter ended up messing up the mouth of one of them because she forced a pacifier into it. The little girl came to my house for a visit one day, and she had the twins with her. She accidentally left the boy at my house, so I had to babysit him for the night until they could come get him the next morning. I pretended he was my baby. Then when I got older, I found one on eBay. I am not sure if it is the original or a knockoff version, but she is a girl, and I love her.
wow i remember these dolls i use to play with them at our church i personally had the realistic Berenguer dolls
My grandma used to make dolls, and when I visited her a few months ago she gave me a forty year old porcelain doll that she made. She sculpted the mold and everything. When I left my grandma’s to catch my flight, I had to carry the porcelain doll through out the airport. We tricked so many people that day. People thought it was a real baby! My porcelain is almost like a vintage reborn

The welcome home enily doll collection. They are in their boxes. I have had them out for display at times and debated selling, but they are in my reborn nursery in boxes. I would like to do new bodies and use them. After seeing this, I believe I will keep them !!❤😊
I never had a new one but got one at a flea market. Didn't realize it had a tear in the back of its shoulder. It was very soft vinyl and so cute. It was just not possible to handle it much because the tear was so fragile. A few years later I put it in a garage sale and someone didn't care about the tear. She paid me half of what I had paid for the doll. I sold it, but later regretted having let it go. That is why I really appreciate the reborn dolls of today. I can only afford some cheaper kits and some still need painting. Its been so hard to choose between all the great sculps, so I decided to limit myself to eight total.
Just had time to watch this video. My oldest daughter had a baby born doll. This baby reminds me of that baby

That's a Canadian video...lol I remember dolls like this at Toys R Us here in Canada around that time but I had no reason to buy one, I wasn't a collector but I WANTED one because they were so realistic at the time!!

Those are wonderful dolls! In 1988 I was 24, had been married over 3 years and gave birth to my beautiful daughter. I didn't know about these dolls. If I had my daughter would of had one. Loved the video clip! Thanks for sharing Tori. 🥰🌹❤
