Huge respect for all of the efforts you have gone to in order to protect your E30 going forward. Thankfully I live in So Cal where the majority of our cars are not subjected to the rust-inducing elements you and your friends live with in your area of the world.
Thanks man. Yes unfortunately our UK cars take a real beating, especially during the winter months. I’m sure my car won’t be out on the road in bad weather now!
@@BadE30 Indeed. As a comparison, my own 12/87 build E30 325iC has 177k milees on the clock with nary a sign of the rust monster. We should all be so fortunate ;)
Dude that thing is going to be THE creme de la creme E30 when finished. I really appreciate the love u r putting in. Looking forward to the next video!
@@doom1961 going for some 15”x8/9J with a real chunky tyre setup. I’ve seen 245/40’s fit but i think that may be a bit too much.. other than that; IS front lip, SE side skirts and a very rare mtech 2 rear spoiler!
A super satisfying watch, great result! The grey underseal in the cartridge looks like interesting stuff, not far off OE textured finish either. Weird the way it spits onto the panel though. I bet you were sick of the sound of your compressor by the end. 😆
Thanks man. You can also get it in a beige which is a close match for the colour if you don’t plan on spraying over it! That poor compressor is having a rest and an service when I get chance, it took a battering!
mate. That is …..stunning...… I'm currently refreshing the underside of my Z3 (which is half E30 half E36) and I was on my Z3 forum perplexed as to how you can spray sealant from a tube.... and you solved the mystery !... apparently an alternative is to brush it on and stipple with a sponge..... but that looks epic....
Outstanding, looks brilliant and all these modern coatings will make it better protected than factory. These videos are always worth the wait, and thoroughly enjoyable to watch.
Just stumbled across your channel…. Well done gents it looks excellent! Gotta binge watch all your previous vids now 😂 Nice to see another small channel like my own, as you are still relatable to the average person 👍👍
therapeutic to watch this video, looking forward to the end product, I had a lend of one of them cars years back and it was a great car, The only negative it didn't have A/C, does yours or are you retrofitting A/C, someone makes a kit for them driven by the serpentine belt as the car I had borrowed eventually had it fitted, this was back in 1980s,
Stunning work. It’s come a long way. One thing I would have added and am suggesting you do is to spray cavity wax inside all the frame rails. Just an added layer of protection for longevity of the underside. Good work nonetheless!
Thanks man! This is on my list, but once the interior is painted and a few other bits are done. However, a good reminder as I do have so much going on at times!
Amazing work - Ive been following yourself and Ants builds for a while now - I'm at a similar stage with mine. Many years stripping and repairing the underside. Just epoxy primed it and had planned to over paint in hammerite 🙈 Figured the colours only for vanity, but after watching the extra underseal (and effort) you've gone to, seems worth going that extra! What size compressor did you use? I'll need to buy one as it's all been hand paint till this point 👀
Great work man!! It’s not a quick process!! Mines a 100ltr and it was able to keep up with the spraying all day, I do feel quite bad for it though. Needs a service for sure now

The gun application is great! A bit pricey for the gun itself.. Good luck with your z3!

You make a perfect job. Congratulation from austria. 🇦🇹

Cracking work lads, I did my first underside laid on my back while the car was on axle stands what a ball ache that was lol
Cheers Richard, I couldn’t imagine doing it on the floor! Props to you for that

Glad you enjoyed it! I won’t be needing A/C with the car being the the UK! Would only be needed a couple times a year. But yes I have seen that kit😎
awsome finish! looking forward to the rest
Not long now, should be back on the floor by next week!
Awesome job mate
Thanks man!!
Your rollover jig is a work of art, as is the rest of this project 😂
I made it myself, mostly by eye until it looked right!
@@BadE30 outstanding man, never seen the bearings incorporated, makes it float by the looks of you rotating it, serious quality build 👌🏼😎

Thank you!
Good work!
Thanks😎
Huge job, and it turned out great!
Thanks man!
Nice job,artist
Thank you!
Very nice!
Thanks!
Patience of a saint using that underseal gun having to spray in such a small pattern
To get to this stage in a car restoration you have to be quite a patient person.. Nothing on this project can be rushed!
I really like how you matched your undercoat colour to your fence panels.
Haha! They’re my neighbours, he must of given me the idea.. hope it’s not the overspray 😂
Great JOB ! RESPEKT !
Thank you!

It is amazing! What type of gun did u use, name of the gun?
It’s the specific gun for the CE Chem sealer, you can find it on their website!

Did you make that rotisserie thing or buy it?
Home made dude. I wasn’t happy with the ready made ones, not sturdy enough for me!
@@BadE30 ah fair play man looks well. Any tutorial videos on how to build it coming soon? Haha

Nice job. Does the finish paint have to be applied while the undersealnis tacky, or could it be applied just as well at a later date ?
Thanks, yeh man it’s a wet on wet application. I’m sure it doesn’t adhere well if cured
Was that a 2k satin paint you used or just straight base coat?
2k satin dude, went with a RAL colour as close as possible to laguna green
Wieviel Stunden Arbeit waren das ???
how many tubes of underseal did you use on the whole of the car?
What size compressor did you use for this?
Do you mind if we share a link to your video? Thanks. Chris Ce Chem Limited
Hi, feel free to! Thanks
Hi what type of paint u use at the end
Just simple RAL 2k paint
Can anyone tell me is this sealent better than a raptor coating?
That's some restoration porn! 😂
Great job, keep it up!
Haha😎😎
with this kind of work quality, I don;t mind to have you restore my car. I am in Malaysia.
Thanks!
