I am still a second year Arki student due to covid-19 and yes I also failed my calculus a year ago but then my seniors said that it's only natural for arki students to encounter those kind of things so the hope is still there, to become one of the most famous architects in the Philippines and hoping to achieve more by the time na may work na. Kaya natin to mga ARKI NA PALAGING PUYAT.
I have failed one of my math subjects already and I possibly might fail my current differential and integral calculus subject I could understand and solve problems in that subject, albeit with a colossal amount of effort put in studying, compared to others who could do it with what one would consider a "normal" amount of effort, but I just panic and get mental blocked as soon as I see the math exam papers' contents, making me forget all that I've studied, so the end result is me, failing in those exams and being pressured even more by the people around me that don't acknowledge and even disregard the hard work I put into trying to pass these subjects. I expect that this might continue for awhile but with your words, I am more encouraged to push forward even harder until I eventually graduate. Salamat po ng marami. I will always come back to your videos whenever I need the boost I need to continue this path I have taken ^_^

All I remember from that subject (I just finished that last semester) was not sleeping at all, remembering the coverage of exam, pass the exam, then forget it to remember another batch of info, and sketch the historical structures and ornaments...

We have classmates that's older than us or already working and even have their own family but still pursuing their dreams tho :) the only struggles for them is some of our prof is lazy to go to class so... time's wasted especially for working students. But talking to the profs will help you out :)

That's a good curriculum you have experienced. As a freshman architecture student myself of University of Batangas, some minor subjects you have in the past curriculum are removed due to K-to-12 curriculum, which are English 1, College Algebra, Analytic Geometry, Humanities, Philippine History (usually taught in 4th to 6th grade due to K-to-12) and General Psychology. Instead, our new minor subjects in most BS courses (aside from architecture) are Math in the Modern World, Purposive Communication, Art Appreciation, Ethics, Contemporary World, Readings in Philippine History and Understanding the Self. The minor subjects that are still available today are Solid Mensuration, Calculus, Physics and Rizal subject (no offense to Bonifacionists).
Simula nung nag-aral ako hanggang grade 9 ayaw na ayaw ko na talaga ang math. May naiintindihan naman ako pero kapag dumating na sa mga topic na ang daming solution chuchu hindi ko na maintindihan. Puro kopya lang ako noon kapag may hindi ko alam isolve. Meron pa yung time na sobrang baba ng grade ko math 81, baka nga line of 7 dapat yan eh. Pero noong nag Grade 10 na ako dun ko na nafigure out na gusto kong mag arki tapos naalala ko na hindi ako mahilig sa math. Pero guess what? Favorite ko na ngayon ang math hahaha. May mga ginawa ako para hindi ako mahirapan sa math. Remind ko kayo, maaaring mag work to sa inyo or hindi pero para sa akin nag work talaga siya. Una ang ginagawa ko ay nag iimagine ako na matalino ako sa math tapos habang nagsosolve ka imagine mo ikaw pinakamagaling sa math sa klase nyo. Hahaha medyo weird pero effective sakin. Tapos habang nag iimagine ka syempre yung damdamin mo sumasabay. Pano ko ba sasabihin ang hirap iexplain haha. Example diba kapag nagiimagine ka na ikaw pinakamaganda sa school nyo sumusunod yung damdamin mo sa iniisip mo kaya naglalagay kana ng makeup something para maging totoo yung iniimagine mo. Parang ginagawa mong totoo yung mga naiisip mo ganern. Ganon din ang ginwa ko sa math inimagine ko na matalino ako sa math kaya ginawa ko yung mga bagay na nakakatulong para gumaling sa math. Tapos itatak nyo lang sa isip nyo na favorite subject nyo ang math, ilove math, hindi mahirap ang math tapos habang tumatagal nagiging totoo na talaga sya. At ngayon fave ko na ang math pero kapag may mga hindi ako naiintindihan deretso ako sa youtube haha. Ang dami kong sinabi haha. Ang tawag ata sa ginawa ko ay manifest? Subliminal? I don't know basta ganon search nyo nalang. And don't forget to pray!
No words can describe how much I enjoyed architecture at University of Illinois, Chicago. Sometimes I dream about it and the people. I self emphasized working drawings and estimating. I got a job. I did all the designs, working drawings, estimating. I never once made a mistake.
Sounds like a pretty comprehensive architectural program. In the US, I wish the program included fundamental survey. I have an extremely hard time communicating with civil engineers when I was doing my internship. Good contents bro...keep it up.

I'm actually just trying to find a course for college and this has been on the list of my options for so long. Why is it that no matter how hard everything sounds (also how expensive the things you need are,) I can't help but smile at the thought of going through all those things. And mind you, my math skills mostly depend on how I like the topic and geometry was never on the list. The point is, your videos help me kind of refresh on why I even considered being an architect.
We got to sketch (with ink) 5 ancient civilization historical structures and ornaments for History of Architecture 1....while designing a whole elementary school for Design 2....while dealing with Integral and Differential Calculus... We have classmates that's older than us or already working and even have their own family but still pursuing their dreams tho :) the only struggles for them is some of our prof is lazy to go to class so... time's wasted especially for working students. But talking to the profs will help you out :)

I studied architecture in FEU but I was only able to finish 1 semester due to financial issues, its been a year and a half since ive dabbled into architecture stuff again, thanks to you and your videos it sparked something in me, now im studying at home on how to design in sketch up and render in thea. That's a good curriculum you have experienced.
As a freshman architecture student myself of University of Batangas, some minor subjects you have in the past curriculum are removed due to K-to-12 curriculum, which are English 1, College Algebra, Analytic Geometry, Humanities, Philippine History (usually taught in 4th to 6th grade due to K-to-12) and General Psychology. Instead, our new minor subjects in most BS courses (aside from architecture) are Math in the Modern World, Purposive Communication, Art Appreciation, Ethics, Contemporary World, Readings in Philippine History and Understanding the Self. The minor subjects that are still available today are Solid Mensuration, Calculus, Physics and Rizal subject (no offense to Bonifacionists).

Simula nung nag-aral ako hanggang grade 9 ayaw na ayaw ko na talaga ang math. May naiintindihan naman ako pero kapag dumating na sa mga topic na ang daming solution chuchu hindi ko na maintindihan. Puro kopya lang ako noon kapag may hindi ko alam isolve. Meron pa yung time na sobrang baba ng grade ko math 81, baka nga line of 7 dapat yan eh. Pero noong nag Grade 10 na ako dun ko na nafigure out na gusto kong mag arki tapos naalala ko na hindi ako mahilig sa math. Pero guess what? Favorite ko na ngayon ang math hahaha. May mga ginawa ako para hindi ako mahirapan sa math. Remind ko kayo, maaaring mag work to sa inyo or hindi pero para sa akin nag work talaga siya. Una ang ginagawa ko ay nag iimagine ako na matalino ako sa math tapos habang nagsosolve ka imagine mo ikaw pinakamagaling sa math sa klase nyo. Hahaha medyo weird pero effective sakin. Tapos habang nag iimagine ka syempre yung damdamin mo sumasabay. Pano ko ba sasabihin ang hirap iexplain haha. Example diba kapag nagiimagine ka na ikaw pinakamaganda sa school nyo sumusunod yung damdamin mo sa iniisip mo kaya naglalagay kana ng makeup something para maging totoo yung iniimagine mo. Parang ginagawa mong totoo yung mga naiisip mo ganern. Ganon din ang ginwa ko sa math inimagine ko na matalino ako sa math kaya ginawa ko yung mga bagay na nakakatulong para gumaling sa math. Tapos itatak nyo lang sa isip nyo na favorite subject nyo ang math, ilove math, hindi mahirap ang math tapos habang tumatagal nagiging totoo na talaga sya. At ngayon fave ko na ang math pero kapag may mga hindi ako naiintindihan deretso ako sa youtube haha. Ang dami kong sinabi haha. Ang tawag ata sa ginawa ko ay manifest? Subliminal? I don't know basta ganon search nyo nalang. And don't forget to pray!
No words can describe how much I enjoyed architecture at University of Illinois, Chicago. Sometimes I dream about it and the people. I self emphasized working drawings and estimating. I got a job. I did all the designs, working drawings, estimating. I never once made a mistake.

Sounds like a pretty comprehensive architectural program. In the US, I wish the program included fundamental survey. I have an extremely hard time communicating with civil engineers when I was doing my internship. Good contents bro...keep it up.

I'm actually just trying to find a course for college and this has been on the list of my options for so long. Why is it that no matter how hard everything sounds (also how expensive the things you need are,) I can't help but smile at the thought of going through all those things. And mind you, my math skills mostly depend on how I like the topic and geometry was never on the list. The point is, your videos help me kind of refresh on why I even considered being an architect.
We got to sketch (with ink) 5 ancient civilization historical structures and ornaments for History of Architecture 1....while designing a whole elementary school for Design 2....while dealing with Integral and Differential Calculus... As a 1st year student... with demanding minor subjects.... 😭😭 I WANT TO GO BACK IN TIME WHERE YOU GUYS TOOK YOUR TIME LEARNING AHHHHHHH

Im planning to take architect pero wag nalang siguro may math din pala yun pero sigi gustong gusto ko talaga ng architect siguro habang nasa grade 8 level palang ako eh magpractice na agad ako ng architecture and drawings of houses and buildings tapos yung mga lines tapos coloring btw kakadrawing ko lang kanina ng house nagawa ko naman kaso nahirapan lang ako sa mga puno dapat pala di nalang ako naglagay ng puno hahaha Btw andami palang subject n architect kailangan talaga hardwork 😭😭

11:40-11:45 = There's one architecture graduate who became a RUclipsr instead of an architect. It's Domics (Dominic Panganiban). He's Filipino and he lives in Canada. A Pinoy RUclipsr and animator in one, even he graduated architecture.
I'm a 1st year student, and on our first sem our prof just made us plan a resort with so many slope, and heck, i was shocked cause i thought 1st year would be just residential houses. And now we're on our second sem and we're already doing a plan for elementary school hahahha
It's true! Life in the Philippines is basically a musical. We break out in songs every few street corners, and we have at least two dance numbers a day!
