    • @codetaku
      @codetaku 2 года назад +36

      I don't think it was the supergms tbh, just the IMs and regular GMs. The supergms are focused on the tells that actually matter, like "how long it takes the player to play the moves that are obvious compared to how long it takes them to play moves that are hard to find" or "whether the occasional mistake is still a reasonable thing for a strong player to make or whether it's an absolutely stupid move thrown in to avoid an autoban from having consistently perfect accuracy". Because most cheaters just end up waiting 3 to 10 seconds (depending on the strength of their engine) for every single move, and they either play literally perfect games until they run out of time *or* they just throw in idiotic blunders because they don't actually understand chess.
      The manual review that Danny and team conducted probably also didn't actually involve interviewing the player at the time, but merely examining "suspicious move speed" and "when inaccuracies are reasonable vs unreasonable", which is how they were quickly able to come to the conclusion that Alireza was just a strong human player.

    He definitely has the potential of beating any of them. I am no expert but I attribute his poor performance to bad coaching in the preparation period and low stress tolerance during the games.

      its not so much stress tolerance but a mix of lack of prep (no coaches with him) and also some poor time management which has been a big issue for him.

      Auto ban, it’s a automated process to weed out most of the cheaters. They did review and clear him. Out of 1 Firouzja there are a few thousands of cheaters that got caught by this. No one play for fun will ever reach a point of being auto banned.

      @@hash4badi You would never know. It's highly likely geniuses actually showed up but got banned on the system and quit. There's no way to know that, since the auto ban will always ban the player regardless, and if they don't have a title like Alireza did (IM at the time), no one will actually take the time to review and see the legitness.
