@@ExcelTimeSavers Open ground means that the ground on the receptacle isn't wired to anything (or whatever it's connected to is floating with respect to the electrical system). That's different from ground and neutral being reversed - they were both connected to something at ground potential, just the wrong something.
Did you try contacting the seller about the wrong wiring?
