I listened to Adele's version several times. She is a fantastic writer and has a beautiful voice as well technically skilled but I didn't connect to the song. To me she sounded very robotic as if it was another chore to do and cross off her list. The first time I listened to Angelina singing this song, I was overwhelmed with emotions. I felt every word as she took me away on a journey to her world. Maybe because I've been following her since the time that she was 7 years old and watched her progress from one level to another and I feel like a proud grandpa. What impresses me most is Angelina's continuity through her performances. It sets her apart from many other good vocalists who can make choices along the way that do not fit so well into the overall picture.
There is no way a non-jazz singer, even one as great as Adele, can match the penetration effect into the human soul that a true jazz specialist like Angelina can do. She has adopted nuance and inflections from Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse. Amy was the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time, having redefined the genre. Angelina has actually redefined the genre once again, taking it past what Amy did and placing in beyond the stratosphere. She is, without a doubt, the reigning Queen Of Jazz, for sure.
She is so so good!! I have never in all my life had a voice that could penetrate my inner being with the emotions that Angelina's voice does. When you think that nothing could make you tear up anymore, she opens her mouth, and bam!! Here they come. She has absolutely never disappointed me. Between her and Jackie Evanko, I'm set.

I first heard Angeline Jordan in 2014. I am over 70 years old , during this time I have listened to many , singers and singers. I own very many CDs from all over the world. However, none , none of them have affected my spiritual feelings like Angelina. Dimash Kudaibergen is also great, great voice but he is focused on shou performances, big orchestras something like Andre Rieu. She is one of the greatest talents the world has experienced, and we got to watch it happen. I have watched the concert 16 times, so far. AJ performs "You Say" at the end and she will bring you to tears.

There are a ton of artist who sing well but few who can also make you feel the music. That's something Angelina seems to make you do with everything she composes / performs.
...wrapped in velvet by a voice. She did great. She tried to do Adele justice, because she loves her, and she did. She built her own relation to song and lyrics, where there are many, which I will not point out now. But she could't tame the Jazzer in her, as you can hear in little runs etc. Her voice gets deeper, so imho she does harder at the lower parts of her head voice, and is working on it. At the end of the song, after "... I had good intentions..." one time she sings ... go easy on me in her chest voice, reaching this note effortlessly. And then the high head voice note showed, where her head voice is most powerful imho. Great as always, never disappoints...

Other than Michael Jackson, I can't think of another artist of this caliber whom we've been allowed to see grow up from a very young age and develop into a great singer. And despite being less famous Angelina started even younger and we have more examples of her work through these younger years. I would even say young Angelina was better technically and more emotionally connected to the songs than MJ at a young age or any other child star you might think of. As a young singer Angelina literally has no peers. I am really struggling to wait for Angelina to finish school or whatever and fully launch her career.

First time hearing Angelina Jordan and wow what a voice
What impresses me most is Angelina's continuity through her performances. It sets her apart from many other good vocalists who can make choices along the way that do not fit so well into the overall picture.
She is beyond talent. She is a person that brings people to a happy place, and we more more people like her.
There is no way a non-jazz singer, even one as great as Adele, can match the
penetration effect into the human soul that a true jazz specialist like Angelina
can do. She has adopted nuance and inflections from Billie Holiday and Amy
Winehouse. Amy was the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time, having
redefined the genre. Angelina has actually redefined the genre once again, taking
it past what Amy did and placing in beyond the stratosphere. She is, without a
doubt, the reigning Queen Of Jazz, for sure.
She is so so good!! I have never in all my life had a voice that could penetrate my inner being with the emotions that Angelina's voice does. When you think that nothing could make you tear up anymore, she opens her mouth, and bam!! Here they come. She has absolutely never disappointed me. Between her and Jackie Evanko, I'm set.
I love to read the comments from all of the Angelina fans or "Angelinos" You know why? because we are a CHORUS OF YES!! Thankyou for putting into words what I just could not at the time! AJ performs "You Say" at the end and she will bring you to tears.

There are a ton of artist who sing well but few who can also make you feel the music. That's something Angelina seems to make you do with everything she composes / performs.
...wrapped in velvet by a voice. She did great. She tried to do Adele justice, because she loves her, and she did. She built her own relation to song and lyrics, where there are many, which I will not point out now. But she could't tame the Jazzer in her, as you can hear in little runs etc. Her voice gets deeper, so imho she does harder at the lower parts of her head voice, and is working on it. At the end of the song, after "... I had good intentions..." one time she sings ... go easy on me in her chest voice, reaching this note effortlessly. And then the high head voice note showed, where her head voice is most powerful imho. Great as always, never disappoints...

Other than Michael Jackson, I can't think of another artist of this caliber whom we've been allowed to see grow up from a very young age and develop into a great singer. And despite being less famous Angelina started even younger and we have more examples of her work through these younger years. I would even say young Angelina was better technically and more emotionally connected to the songs than MJ at a young age or any other child star you might think of. As a young singer Angelina literally has no peers. I am really struggling to wait for Angelina to finish school or whatever and fully launch her career.
