  • We visit St Agnes in Cornwall for todays video, with a happy walking tour down to Trevaunance Cove. St Agnes is on the North Cornwall coast, close to Newquay, Truro and Redruth and very popular with holidaymakers, tourists, visitors, surfers and more!
St Agnes is a charming village nestled on Cornwall's dramatic north coast. It's a popular holiday destination known for its stunning scenery, rich mining history, and relaxed atmosphere. The village itself is a delight to explore, with narrow streets lined with traditional Cornish cottages, quaint pubs, and art galleries.
Trevaunance Cove, also known as St Agnes Beach, is the main beach here. It's a beautiful sandy cove with crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and surfing. The beach is framed by rugged cliffs, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Trevaunance Cove was once a busy harbor in the 18th and 19th centuries, and remnants of its mining heritage can still be seen today. The cove is located on the South West Coast Path, a national trail that offers some of the best coastal walks in England.
Here are some of the things you can do in St Agnes and Trevaunance Cove:
    * Relax on the beach and soak up the sun.
    * Go for a swim in the turquoise waters.
    * Try your hand at surfing or bodyboarding.
    * Explore the rock pools at low tide and discover a variety of marine life.
    * Hike along the South West Coast Path and enjoy the breathtaking views.
    * Visit the remains of the old harbor and learn about the area's mining history.
    * Browse the shops and galleries in St Agnes village.
    * Enjoy a meal or drink at one of the many cafes, pubs, or restaurants.

Thank you so much for returning to St. Agnes. I was there a year ago and miss the place terribly. Listening to the sea down at Trevaunance Cove brings back happy memories. I stayed at Rosemundy House Hotel in the village. Also walked up Stippy Stappy and up to St. Agnes beacon. The museum was an amazing place to visit as well. Can't wait to be back there one day 😊

Many years ago I decided to walk from St Ives back to Torbay by first following the North Cornwall coastline and footpath, which is up and down steps in and out of coves. Got to St Agnes on my first day totally knackered next day I walked to Newquay and caught the train home.
