Hello, I am restoring a 1971 , 142E same colour as yours . Right now I am doing rust repairs , the rear upper shock absorber area , then the rocker panels and rear wheelhouse edge and the left side spare wheel bucket. Mine is not quite as badly rusted as yours. Thank you for posting the videoed of your work gives me ideas. Are you in Norway . I am in Canada.
Hi. Yes im in norway. My car is not bad to be a norwegian car, have seen them worse. Are you filming your restoration? If not you must start, im innterested in watching other people do volvo 140 restoration. Keep following im planing on filming the whole project. 👍 (sorry for my bad english)
@@norheimsgarasjen3521 I am not filming the restoration. Only taking some pictures. Are you familiar with POR 15. A fantastic paint product which I am going to paint over all welded areas and surface rusted areas after wire brushing and sanding. Then I will paint over with 46 Red , original colour which is available from VP Autoparts in Sweden in a spray can. My car was fuel injected , I am converting it to Dual Su carburetors. Olof
No im not familiare with por 15. Im using epoxy primer. Im not having my car original, i think im going for a blue colour and white rims. Im going to put in a larger engine if i can get it street legal, its a little dificult to get things street lagal here in norway. We wil see, i might change my mind....😀
@@norheimsgarasjen3521 Not in Canada you can put whatever engine in it you want.. There is no safety check or testing . If you want more power why do you not upgrade the B18/20 .
Takk for positiv tilbakemelding. Eg veit ikkje kva motor eg vil ha, det er litt vanskeligere her i norge med motorbytter å få det godkjent. Men har lurt litt på B20 kompressor, fordi det er det ikkje så mange som har. Eg kjem sikkert til å få den godkjent med orginalmotor først så søke om motorbytte etterpå.
@@norheimsgarasjen3521 Kompressor på B20 finns flera i Sverige som gjort. Funkar bra. Man får fila ner squishkanterna bra, annars spikar det. Jag själv har turbokonverterat B20 men aldrig provat kompressor.
