Tbh I don't 100% get the hate on the Halloween movies after a bunch of cash grab Halloween movies. At least rob zombie put some actual effort into it.
@@habijjj As much as seeing Michael talk as a child takes away a lot of what makes him frightening, it was at least interesting to see how he got to that point.
His movies may not be everyone's favorites, but you can always tell most of the actors are having a lot of fun doing their roles and that makes them better for me.

Devil’s Rejects is easily my fav. The weird ass trashy vulgar dialogue (which is a problem in a lot of his movies) actually works for it considering the tone and personality of the characters and is over all just a great movie imo. Im hoping Munsters beats it tho👀
Need to rewatch that. At the time I didn’t like it as much as House of 1,000 Corpses, but everyone says Devil’s Rejects is an improvement.

God the Munsters one is so accurate it's unreal.
I really want it to be good though, especially since it's PG13, if it's done well it will appeal to everyone.

They're not good by any means, but I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for both of RZ's "Halloween" movies. Just cynical, trashy fun.
You could tell he didnt want to make them. He probably felt obligated to the first time considering he was asked to remake a classic horror movie but even he said he didn't want to make halloween ii. I like them because i saw them as a kid but i recognize the og is leagues better and appreciate zombie for pushing me in the direction of it
I actually kind of liked the second one better because it felt like he was more committed to putting his own spin on it. Didn’t have the first one’s problem where it just copies scenes from the original verbatim but not as good.
Devil's Rejects was solid
I actually think 31 is the crowning jewel of his movies, right up there with 1000 Corpses. I never really liked Devil's Rejects, but 31 was just the right amount of kooky and crass without feeling like pointless torture porn. Diverse cast of villains, interesting premise that keeps you on your toes.
For as trashy as a lot of Rob's writing is, it also had surprisingly likable protagonists in my opinion. Like they really felt like normal drifters making sensible and sometimes even noble decisions in a life-or-death situation.
I genuinely felt bad for them when they died and Doom-Head fucking killed it with the acting, honestly really like 31
Ngl Doom Head was the only good character and he was barely in the movie. The other antagonists and protagonists didn't feel fleshed out.
Come on. 1000 corpses was godawful
I enjoyed 31 when I saw it in the theater. Would still like to see the directors cut. (Gonna go look again but I doubt it has been or will ever be released)
The worst thing about it is we all know what it could have been with a Lionsgate budget.

The Devils Rejects is absolutely an incredible film.
I actually love Lords of Salem. I wish it got more praise like it deserves. Great if you love slow burn, weird horror stuff. A lot of the reviews dissed it for being boring but they quit halfway through - that's when the good stuff happens, dummy!

I actually really like it too, you just can't go in expecting a scary movie, it's more unnerving than anything.
Lol my favorite is house 1000 corpses. I think imo it really captured that sort of raw grainy texas chainsaw massacre vibe pretty well. I also love the absurd characters and the crudeness of it. Plus, doctor Satan yah yah yah yah yah!!!!!!!🤡

Am I the only one who enjoy The Haunted World of El Superbeasto? I know it’s bad but its so funny at the same time at how terrible it is.

You know when you're traveling long distance and you stop at some no name gas station and see a display case of knives? They have dragon shaped ones or flames shaped blades. They look so cool and edgy but you realize, these are only technically knives, functionally they're cheap metal with sharpened edges that fall apart when you try to use them as an actual knife.

I don’t hate the first Rob Zombie Halloween film. I think as a stand alone film, it’s not too bad. As a remake, it’s a mixed bag.

Very controversial but Rob is my favorite horror director. One of the first horror movies I watched was house of 1000 corpses and that got me into his films. I’ve liked all of his films tbh. The only one that hasn’t been my favorite was the haunted world of el super beasto but I don’t really consider that horror or like his other films.
