When I was younger, around 11-12 , my dad got me a phone. This was before the time of touch screens and iPhones. He was so excited, and told mom not to tell me, and wanted to wait and surprise me for my bday. He worked double shift to get me that phone.
Finally when he gave it to me, on my bday the phone couldn’t switch on beyond the load screen. Took it to the shop, only for the guy to say it’s a fake, and dismantled it to show, it was empty. Just a screen connected to a board and that’s it.
I don’t know what hurt worse, the fake phone on my bday or seeing my dad almost in tears , embarrassed and sad, and disappointed with himself for letting his son down and being gullible.We weren’t rich. And dad spent a lot on that phone. Wrapped it all up for me. Scammers deserve a special place in hell
This is why I never ever asked my mom for a snes. I didn’t want her to work so so hard for something I didn’t really need. Her love is the only thing i really needed. 😢😢
