If you really haven't watched it, the anime is pretty good and sensual, it's more of a really weird 'school slice-of-life'. The blood scenes aren't really so grosteque or gory, that's the aftermath of a fight scene and it's not as bad as some other ones out there, but yes, there are scenes where an arm gets cut(off), people get shot, etc. It's about assassination(kinda, not really?), so that's what happens.
