Warning. Do not waste your 15 bucks a month just yet. Lags horribly on Android TV, no free trial period, no REFUNDS. The lag is just super nasty. Other services did not lag, but are no longer available to play. You have been warned.

Wow. I always bypassed them when they popped up on my play store. Definitely interested in giving them a try in the near future. Shame about the 1080p though. I live in a rural area where 720p rules 😕

I'm sure it will downgrade to 720. Definitely worth a try :)

very interesting tech, I noticed on the their site that xbox compatibility is only featured so I wonder if their will be more controllers added down the road.

Way too expensive for these kind of titles..
GamePass has a native app for Samsung TV’s or can be played via your TV’s browser..
    Much better value and experience

hello and thanks for the video. games run smoothly with good fps usage? I'm looking for a Stadia alternative for kids, but on xcloud some games don't work well, I think they don't go to 60fps, they jerk and it becomes difficult to play.

Run very well. I think it's a good family option (I'm not an affiliate these are just my experiences).

Doesn't look like they have a worthy collection of games for me to try and pay upfront.
I guess I'll just stick with the game pass 🤷

I know this is weird...but GFN is certainly the way to go.
At the very least, you get to keep your games, and play them locally if you ever intend to get hardware.
Also, you probably aren't going to play even 100 games on a service, let alone 1000+.
Most of them are cruft, or not really playable.
    Like...here are some good examples.
Let's say you want to play on the go, on a streaming service. Maybe something turn based and narrative sounds pretty good? You don't have to worry about latency interfering with gameplay, right?
Well, you would be wrong, because the UI and text aren't intended for your phone...and they haven't really resolved how to fix this. Essentially, the service themselves, would have to requisition a special build, with UI upsizing options.
Darkest Dungeons, which seems like a good fit for GFN on the go, is actually REALLY bad. There is lots of tiny text, and nothing has been done to improve the UI, and there is no way to change that.
Which is kinda the problem with all streaming gaming. There is just no reason to do it. You can't really stream anything on the go, that isn't natively built for a phone. So, anything narrative or textually involved is kinda out the window, because the UI will be so tight as to be exhausting. So now it's FPS games and platformers...that you really want to play with some latency, with some abbreviated virtual controller experience?
I dunno, it's all very strange, and they DO kinda ask a lot of money for a subscription to this experience.
I also did an experiment with many streaming services on an OPi5, over the course of 6 months, and sorta concluded they are a rip-off. GFN and Luna had the lowest latency and best quality...but it still wasn't quite there. Rather tell people to save their money. The experience just is not the same. The only argument is that you can play 'on the go', which you absolutely can't, because modern PC games are not designed for

Yes there is a very specific use case for something like Blacknut. For most people being able to choose their own games is a definite bonus.
