All I have to say is young Bianca is a blessed girl to still have her great-grandmother alive and well sharing these beautiful traditions and delights with her. Not many kids can say that. It's a wonderful thing to see.
Thank you!! My biggest regret is that I cannot share these beautiful videos with my Mom! She was 1st generation Italian and I loved hearing about her mother making soups, pastas, meats, etc. God bless you, Vicky for bringing us these important videos about Italian culture and heritage. 🙏❤🇺🇸😘🤗
Aren't they wonderful? The 'madia' has fallen out of fashion because people have stopped making pasta and also they are a bit big to fit into modern kitchens. You can find them in antique /flea markets, on eBay etc. best wishes, Vicky
Oh how delightfully light and delicate those tagliatelle look! Elda shows her love for her family to work in such heat to make sure they have a delicious meal. And Bianca sure enjoyed it! 🤗♥️🍝
How lovely to see a 93 year old who looks like she only just reaches retirement ! Eldas smile says it all. What a master pasta maker she is one of the best tagliatelle so perfectly made. Thank you everyone concerned. Ramon.
Another weekly treat that never disappoints. I especially like the special sideboard for storing the pasta utensils and making the pasta. What a work of art. Brava Vicki and gracias.
This is a heart warming video! I love that Bianca wanted to learn how to make the pasta!! And the pasta cabinet it's a beautiful piece of furniture!!! Brava!!! Bellissima!!!;❤❤❤❤❤❤
I assume this channel already knows they were on The Bear? I only started watching it last week and caught the glimpse of Pasta Grannies in the background! Today's dish looks absolutely delicious, as usual!
Didn't anyone notice that sweet Bianca was just itching to help she could have spun the tomatoes she could have helped roll out the pasta and she said "I want to help and I want to help now" children should be encouraged to help. Great Grammy should have given her a piece of the dough to roll out or let her make her own little well with flour and one egg. We have children in our church who come to my home to make their own pasta and have lessons and they love to get their hands in that flour and eggs. Finally sweet Bianca walks away from the table realizing that she's not going to get to help. That made me sad. Always let your children help in the process so great Grammy can pass on her skill I love pasta grannies I watch it with my students in school.
yeah, sorry about that. There was a race for the delete button when we discovered there had been a glitch in exporting the video to RUclips. 😅 best wishes, Vicky
Hey Vicki, I once saw a story on your instagram about some grannie making carciofi and botarga pasta. I was wondering, if this video is coming out at some point. Cheers from Vienna
Been on holidays, where was I? Rome and Sicily! Missed me some Pasta Grannies and met so many when I was there... Mangia il mio nuovo nipote! Heard it many times. 🥰 And I always wondered how you find all these lovely Pasta Grannies!?
I've never met a signora who takes any notice about what the official recipe is, or what TV chefs say should be done; they do what works for them - and tastes good. 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
"Her family does not like pieces of onions in the sauce" Entire Mediterranean viewer base sighed in dissapointment... Weakness disgusts me. Jokes aside, onion is king/queen of veggies and a staple in our cuisines.
very much so, but rarely in the over 70's age group. In Emilia Romagna during the summer holidays there are several pasta rolling competitions. This year about 30% of the competitors were men and two were won by a young 'pastaio' called Paolo. best wishes, Vicky
A lot of 68-year-olds do not have the physical strength nor agility to roll the dough like the 93-year-old Elda - BRAVA !!!
All I have to say is young Bianca is a blessed girl to still have her great-grandmother alive and well sharing these beautiful traditions and delights with her. Not many kids can say that. It's a wonderful thing to see.
The great-granddaughter looks so much like her grandmother! I love how eager she was to learn. Keep those family traditions alive.❤
That pasta rolled out was a work of art!!!
I love little Bianca's enthusiasm; the tradition continues. God bless them.
Thank you!! My biggest regret is that I cannot share these beautiful videos with my Mom! She was 1st generation Italian and I loved hearing about her mother making soups, pastas, meats, etc. God bless you, Vicky for bringing us these important videos about Italian culture and heritage. 🙏❤🇺🇸😘🤗
I'm glad you enjoy the videos Maria! 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
Those tomatoes! The sauce! Marche! Lard! And the star, Elda. Such family love here. Thanks again for the best content on RUclips.
Thanks Scott! So pleased you are a fan. best wishes, Vicky
Am I alone in wanting a pasta making sideboard?! How did I go my whole life without knowing of this?
I was thinking the exact same! And classes on how to use that giant rolling pin!
Aren't they wonderful? The 'madia' has fallen out of fashion because people have stopped making pasta and also they are a bit big to fit into modern kitchens. You can find them in antique /flea markets, on eBay etc. best wishes, Vicky
If I can't find one, I'm having my fiance make me one when we get a house. I'm so tired of fighting for counter space for my pasta.
Oh how delightfully light and delicate those tagliatelle look! Elda shows her love for her family to work in such heat to make sure they have a delicious meal. And Bianca sure enjoyed it! 🤗♥️🍝

hi Ramon, yes Elda is a very youthful 93 and it was a pleasure to meet her again and think 'she hasn't aged a bit'. best wishes Vicky
@@pastagrannies ❤

Thank you Douglas, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
If not the best PASTA GRANNIES I have seen.. a simple to produce recipe that is all hand made
Each video is an island of joy in a muddled world. Thank you, as always.
That’s how setting foot in a nonna’s house always feels like. Works at 5, 15, 35…
How beautiful to see a child cook with her great nonna. Knowledge is precious ❤
I am always amazed at the artistry of making these pasta sheets.
This is a heart warming video! I love that Bianca wanted to learn how to make the pasta!! And the pasta cabinet it's a beautiful piece of furniture!!! Brava!!! Bellissima!!!;❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a great channel. Looks delicious and looks like the tradition is going to continue! Thanks for posting
Thank you for continuing to share with your viewers such marvelous grannies.
It's my pleasure! Thank you for being a fan. 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
Desde Buenos Aires, Argentina les mandamos muchos saludos y les agradecemos por hacer este Hermoso espacio que disfrutamos en cada entrega
Home made and hand made pasta like Elda makes is a lost art.
She is a true artisan of the noodle
Awesome video, my mouth was watering!!!!!!
Even the detail for the family who don't like onion inside!! Amazing
LOL
That thumbs up made me laugh.
Looked delicious. . .
Thanks 😊
The most perfect tagliatelle ever of all.
My favorite Italian dish.
"Eventually, you can see the sunflowers through the dough."
Amen to that.
This is such a good episode. I like that they strain out the onions for preference. Might as well tailor your meal to your family.
That looks sooooo good!!! 😋
A true lifetime of experience. Fabulous.
I assume this channel already knows they were on The Bear? I only started watching it last week and caught the glimpse of Pasta Grannies in the background! Today's dish looks absolutely delicious, as usual!
yes, the producers asked for permission to use the clip - I had no idea The Bear would be such a hit and so hip! best wishes, Vicky
Wow. Elda is a firecracker. 😊🌺. I love a pork ragu👍👍🌄🐈
Always a great review: eating. And it's always nice to see authentic recipes being made.
Beautiful pasta
"How is it?"
*Eating*
"Not talking now."
😂

Noticed it too. It's rare to have kids engaged like that and a true blessing to pass up an opportunity to let them try it.
Incredible!
Delicious thank you
So beautiful!
I love this channel so much 🇮🇹😍❤️
Exactly how Noni made it! 🍝🧑🍳👵❤
You fixed the audio, nice.
yeah, sorry about that. There was a race for the delete button when we discovered there had been a glitch in exporting the video to RUclips. 😅 best wishes, Vicky

Hello, I had a look at the schedule and it's due to be posted on 29th December. Sorry for the wait! best wishes, Vicky
I would love pieces of onion in my sauce
I agree - I always put lots of onions in mine, but we're all different.
Been on holidays, where was I? Rome and Sicily! Missed me some Pasta Grannies and met so many when I was there... Mangia il mio nuovo nipote! Heard it many times. 🥰
And I always wondered how you find all these lovely Pasta Grannies!?
I have a Granny Finder called Livia De Giovanni. You will sometimes hear her ask questions in the videos. 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
06:24 All those celebrity chefs I see on British TV _insisting_ "it's always pasta to the sauce, not sauce to the pasta!" 🤣
I've never met a signora who takes any notice about what the official recipe is, or what TV chefs say should be done; they do what works for them - and tastes good. 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
Usually when it's fresh pasta, it's the sauce in the pasta, especially for the ravioli, when you stir the pasta into the sauce, you can break them.
"Her family does not like pieces of onions in the sauce"
Entire Mediterranean viewer base sighed in dissapointment...
Weakness disgusts me.
Jokes aside, onion is king/queen of veggies and a staple in our cuisines.
I think the flavour is fine, it's just some people find onion difficult to digest? 🙂best wishes, Vicky
❤
What is 00 flour?
QUESTION: Do men ever make the pasta?
very much so, but rarely in the over 70's age group. In Emilia Romagna during the summer holidays there are several pasta rolling competitions. This year about 30% of the competitors were men and two were won by a young 'pastaio' called Paolo. best wishes, Vicky
🤗💐🙏
It is amazing how much fat they put in there sauce.
Such a beautiful art. Hopefully it is passed on to the great grand child.
