I hate his fake act of caring about her after sending her to her living hell with his own hands. It just a temporary guilt and after she is buried he will stop caring and go back to his mistress. People doesn't change that fast and with him hating her for that long, make his care look fake. It's probably because he wanted her to accept his remorse so he wouldn't feel guilty after she died, because a heartless beast like him wouldn't just get a heart when the person they hate to the core dies. I still wish to see an epilogue from his side where he see the scars on her body and learn what she went through on the island, might make him more guilty after how he treated her when she escaped the hell.
