    "An inter-title...thank you." I don't know why that part made me laugh so much!

    finally mark's reviews are back, I have missed them so much even if I don't always agree with his opinion

      It's his ability to express and articulate his thoughts which really keep bringing us back. I've flat out disagreed with some statements he's made, yet loved his choice of words to make them.

    "Live from Norwich: It's the Quiz of the Week" is going to be my response to everything. I guess Kermode is not a fan of game shows or he would have gotten the word play.

    Good movie! Hard to believe that Efraim and David were brought down by Efraim’s sheer greed by not paying a small percentage of their profits to the repackaging guy! That guy sounds like a real-life piece of work, played brilliantly by Jonah Hill, who has become a go-to actor for playing real scumbag characters

    Jonah Hill was brilliant in The Wolf Of Wall Street.

    spot on, the film doesn't criticize its own themes nearly enough. David gets away with 6 months of house arrest and he gets paid by Bradley Cooper after because he was such an honorable criminal

    There were two awkward bits in their, the first I forgot but the second was when the DJ said Live from Norwich! What was that about? I get the feeling they dot like each other.

    A "dramedy" is just a comedy with to many serious scenes. Usually.

    This is one of those films that I found incredibly forgettable. I enjoyed it well enough in the cinema, and just haven't felt the need to think about it since.

    I can't stand the hangover franchise but this a good film with good performances, apart from Miles Teller's girlfriend who was a hit and miss for me, Jonah Hill was on fire.

    Best review that iv seen on this movie I totally agree this movie has no edge and has poor story telling. No way can you compare this to a Scorsese flick.

    Came here to say - really not a fan of the aggressive and awkward type on the thumbnail... Why does it have to adopt that generic, RUclips-streamer style? I actually liked it when I could see the movie's screenshot, it felt different

    A big fan of the show but..........recently the reviews seem more and more laborious. They used to be more light hearted and humorous. Can't figure out if it's Simon, Mark or both.

    The film’s well acted, well characterised, stylish & intriguing, however the film’s poorly directed, poorly written, unfocused & long. (62%) (3/5 stars) (mixed)

    The culture is drenched in pessimism and the producers of culture producs dont care about the ramifications of it. The more you shout from the rooftops "everybody knows the system is shit" the more the next generation will take such reality as a given.

    Its about money and should be more cynical according to Mark but he slaughtered Wolf of Wall Street for being so cynical. Where is the middle ground?

    • @archerce
      @archerce 8 лет назад +7

      He does comment it's a difficult middle ground to achieve.
