In episode 200 of the Desire To Trade Podcast, I interview prop firm trader John Jost, whom I invited to share his swing trader success story.
John is a successful swing trader & chiropractor based in Denver, Colorado.
His style of trading reflects around price action, major support & resistance zones, longer time frames, good risk management, and minimal to no indicators.
What's was particularly interesting for me is the fact that John has gone through the Desire To Trade Academy. He says it taught him things that he hadn't learned before.

A. Story similar to many others but honest & realistic with a common theme for success. That feeling of been there done that again surfaces, it's a long journey but success awaits if you put the effort in -love the fb group by the way.

Great Interview! This guy looks so passionate and determined, its awesome. Ive found most "successful" traders lack personality or its like they died inside on their way up lol (or they are just like that), but this guy has 100% energy level and good vibes. Its refreshing. Any details on what he does once price reach his zone on the daily? Does he go on a lower TF and wait for confirmation? Stays on the Daily (the close he said) and then enters based on the candle close on the daily?

I wanted to ask/know good propfirm like this that you pay 250 usd to get 25k

Thank you for sharing this video Etienne. I was actually looking into this company, and was sending emails back and forth with them. I also came to the conclusion that I would have to make a major reduction in my lot size to trade with this company, or the likelihood of blowing an account with them is very high. The most you can have open at one time is 1.5% of your account/4%max drawdown, so reducing lot sizes should give everyone lots of flexibility. Lots of potential with this company, and seem to be one of the better choices for prop firms that don’t require a track record. I’m not sure if John will read this, but I’ll ask here, and maybe reach out to his group. John, after you have qualified for a funded account, what minimum % targets are you required to achieve? Years of demo trading? How many years then? I have demo traded for 9 months. Scalping. I just started eith swing trading as well. My scalping is not 100 % profitable, but I am getting close. It seems a bit of a waste of time to spend like 2 more years doing demo trading even though I understand what he means.
He uses one indicator, RSI. If he says ot works for him fine. I believe that. Seems very boeing though. I try to look into everything. Indicators, patterns and even renko and range bars. HA as well.
Lesson : be laid back but.be serious about your trading. Dare to dream. No need to spend your days in front of the computer to make a buck.
