- David Cassidy singing Someone. This was from Bliss (Channel 4, UK) in 1985 when David returned to the music scene after 10 years.
Being a fan of DC, I knew I couldn't resist putting up at least one of his videos. After going thru' piles of VHSes, I decided to put up this rare clip. I guess not many have seen this before. Enjoy watching.

Despite a lot of nay sayers, this man had...has one of the best voices ever on record. Take the silliness of the songs (from the Partridge Family) away and just listen to the VOICE. He is one of the best singers in the business. Beautiful voice with great range...back when singers had to actually know how to sing. (man, am I giving away my age or what????)

A underrated artist, good voice and good frontman.
I remember this clearly being on our TV in 1985. It's not until the end of the clip that you can tell just how high up David was in the crane!! I presume the idea of the balloons was to cover the name of the crane company, however, PINK!!!! Lol
After this song, David gave an interview to a Scottish woman, (can't remember her name), and they were both having hysterics about the wind and the ridiculous idea of getting David in a crane up amongst the trees!!!!!! So funny.

Thanks for the info. These are the little details that make the DC fans still buzzing around. And I bet the producer knew this and that explains the balloons. I remember DC wore a pink silk suit for the "The higher they climb" album cover shoot.

I was the researcher on the programme and have written about the pink balloons episode on the blog that carries my name that Google will find for you. Yes, it always impressed me, that David was able to work through a situation, with humor, and still deliver. A really nice song, despite those balloons.

denise jervis hi Denise it's the clip ' David Cassidy reacts to fan at summertime in LA concert , probably not so much a tribute site but where fans would go to watch clip of him . A fan gets on stage with him. Hi Wendy. Don't worry, about the delay. I'm in New York City. I know of the concert video, you're speaking of. I saw it, on You Tube. I read, the comments, especially, by one in particular. To respond or not respond, to a posts, is an individual choice. If one chooses to answer, hopefully, it'll turn out, for the best.

You are correct. Your memory did not fail you. The interview however was at the beginning of the show. David sang this song thru' the end of the show. I shall put up the interview bit on a separate video. It will all come back to you when you see it again here.
