I'm giggling thinking of you wafting round the neighbourhood reading the paper or eating a bowl of cereal or something like that! Gotta do a follow up mate - head out on the highway!!
Glad I don't own an Independent Living Equipment factory, 'cos my share-price just crashed! Each week you re-invent a piece of standard expensive rehab gear and turn it into a fun DIY project. I love your creativity.
A little black paint on the chair and chasis to match the front wheels, and also one screw in each chair leg to secure it and voilà, this is just so cool, tnx for sharing it!!!
What a great idea Jack now all you have to do is swap out the chair for a nice cushy one like a computer chair put a carry rack on the back or a trailer and then you can go to the shops !!! Haha ! Seeya Rob
You're too much Jack. Always coming up with cool projects. The smile on your face as you are riding your chair towards the camera is priceless. Great idea that I'm surprised the wheelchair industry hasn't picked up on. But you better secure that chair to the base or you will be needing to use it temporarily as wheelchair yourself. Haha. Looks like your daughter enjoyed it also. What's next: Jack's hover chair races?
IIRC from a tear down video, the footplates actuate switches as they tilt forwards/backwards. For those with better arm/hand than leg/foot control one could probably hack in an additional set of switches parallel with the internal ones, and mount them on a set of handlebars - if one is more electronically than mechanically inclined :-)
A very grand idea mate! My only concern would be the weight put on the center pivoting point of the Hoverboard. Other than that it makes for a nice project. (Beautiful daughter by the way!)
😄 Love it! That's so funny, and such a good idea! These were such a quick fad, I bought 2 that were played with for about 3 months and now they sit, I feel the need to build this!
Jack, since the hoverboard needs to twist in the center to be able to turn , how did you keep the center piece placed over it from binding it up so it can still turn?
Hi Jack ! Ha, ha, really nice tool for you ! You just used Occam's Razor on the wheelchair and made a much more simple version ... and cheaper too ! What about starting a production ?
Thank you so much! My grandmother can't afford a wheelchair and I am going to give her my hoverboard!me and my dad will will make it!
Jack, Your ingenuity just blows me away...
Jack vs Izzy street racing just has to be next. Yours has hands-free technology. Great vid mate.
I'm giggling thinking of you wafting round the neighbourhood reading the paper or eating a bowl of cereal or something like that! Gotta do a follow up mate - head out on the highway!!

Love it Jack! You and Izzy need to get together and ride your machines around the neighborhood!!!! -Brian

You and Izzy must race these chairs, btw he's already a bit ahead with his beer on tap. This is pretty cool in its elegance. Thx
I love ideas that help keep people their mobility! Great stuff.
GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!! Can you make handlebars for it so you can ride it like an electric scooter?
That was great! I held a smile for a minute straight on this one.
Thanks Jack ;)
your videos are awesome by the way
Nicely done. You've made yet another project that I would never think of.
Now to crank up the speed on that thing!
Wow awesome job you just gave people hope that they can still work in there shop or do house work that can't stand or walk good anymore
A little black paint on the chair and chasis to match the front wheels, and also one screw in each chair leg to secure it and voilà, this is just so cool, tnx for sharing it!!!

Amazing Jack! If you put a lever to drive it, anyone could use it, even those who can not walk. Great idea!

Very awsome Jack. Great build & ride!
I found this channel just now. I have to say I love it! I would never have thought to stick the rod in the drill like that.
That's actually a very cheap electric wheelchair. Nice! And I am glad you are feeling much better now.
Awesome project! Could we change the rear 2 wheels to 360 rotatable wheels to make U turn easier !!
A very grand idea mate! My only concern would be the weight put on the center pivoting point of the Hoverboard. Other than that it makes for a nice project. (Beautiful daughter by the way!)
He should re route the speed controller trigger and make it a switch on the chair
Nice idea.
Hope your recovery is going well!
Glad to see you back!
I'm impressed with the build! But i'm more impressed that you thought up such a neat idea.

This is awesome. Pretty sure this is the next hoveround.
Why is there so much hate ? This is an awsome build jack people are just jealous of your tricks 😉
People pay thousands for mobility scooters. You may have killed an industry.
only if this thing clears the entrance of a walmart
My words exactly. How long does the battery last?
People in those scooters are either too lazy or too handicapped to make this
Jay Aeecee cgi was kostet es wo gibt man sowas her mit was läuft das mit Batterie oder was
Jay Aeecee Depends on the hoverboard you use
Jack that is very cool! I think that could be more useful and transportable than my electric wheelchair.
Love the idea. Can't wait t make one to get around the house. Betting than the power chair. THNX
Jack, I love it! That is so cool man! Don't forget your fire extinguisher.

+Jack Houweling 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great idea, Jack. I'm curious as to how long the battery will last with the added weight it has to pull.
Great idea, Jack. I really enjoy your channel and look forward to the next video.
You’re a handy person to have around Jack! Although who noticed your very sad looking broom you have in your garage?
truly a marvel, and good enough for me to post on Facebook.

Jack, since the hoverboard needs to twist in the center to be able to turn , how did you keep the center piece placed over it from binding it up so it can still turn?
