This cover man... Holy damn. I am honestly still surprised at how well David can reach Mike's notes and imitate his voice in general, and I'm not using headphones but at points I found it kinda' hard to distiguinsh between them. Very good effort!
In the original song, when I was a kid back when it came out, during the slower "It's a Midlife Crisis" part of the song (2:42 in this song), I used to think he was saying "Wrestlemania, Ronnie's Dead!" lol
A beautiful homage to the original as they stayed so close to it. Faith No More was my favorite band in my teens so I will always prefer the original, but this is pretty well done :)
The version from Faith No More is specifically about Madonna. I feel like this version from distrubed is more generally about someone going through a midlife crisis. Feel free to call me dumb given that their both the same lyrics.
It's crazy how all these singers that are taught how to sing aren't as good as mike Patton that I've heard has taught himself how to do all the voices he does it just shows how talented mike Patton is
I seriously don't get all the hate that Disturbed gets. Seriously, why do people hate them. This is almost spitting image of the original except for the outro and the guitars being more prominent. People need to pull their head out of their ass
+thegodthathatesall Personally, I find a lot of their music past their first album to be kind of bland and formulaic (outside of Dave's amazing voice), but their covers are always nothing short of incredible, and this one is no exception. It's not quite as mind blowing as their cover of Land of Confusion, or their recent cover of Sound of Silence, but it's still really close to the original.
Honestly it's because they're popular. Personally i love them but the rock/metal community is so fragmented there's bound to be people that just aren't into their sound.
Bad taste is everywhere unfortunately lol , maybe those people get disturbed easily lol , metal music is a manly hard badass art material , weaklings are simply not allowed
The Faith No More version was "Epic" but if anyone was going to redo this song, this would be the band. Bad ASS!!!!! Especially since when the Faith No More version came out I was like 12. Now, I get it...
I have to say that if anyone was going to pull off a cover of this song, it would be disturbed; david draimen definitely has the voice. but I feel that they warped the feeling or emotion of the song to heavy. none the less, a bad ass cover.
good cover, but way too like the original. It has no sense of identity, although that could be because of how much Disturbed is influenced by Faith No More.
this came out the summer i was 16, i think at the same time as Hunger Strike, I think Pearl Jam Black (could be wrong), ad I'm missing some song that kills... Ugh!!!! Anyway. LOVE this song, and you"re cover was righteous! Im failing at finding a karaoke/instrumental version for me to cover. :0(
I mean listening to these songs on San Andreas is awesome. My favorite station was K Dust at the time. Now I'm 34 and also like Alice and Guns n Roses and Faith No More. Some of the the remakes are awesome especially Disturbed
Edicius101 This guy has not even a hundredth of Mike Patton's vocal talent. His growling during the verses is nowhere near as menacing as Patton's, and he's not able to hit a lot of the lower notes from the original. There are a lot of places where he messes things up, and it's overall a weaker vocal. The instrumentals of this cover aren't bad, but the vocals and whatever the fuck was going on with that weird ending ruin it.
I'm not a disturbed fan. They're not heavy enough for me. But I love this song (GTA3 Nostalgia) and this cover is the heavier version it deserved. It's just how I wanted it done.
I was expecting it to be more Distrubed-y like their other great covers. The last bit of double bass is the only difference really. Still fuckin good though man.
I think it follows the original TOO closely until the end. If your not paying attention and doing something else you could easily not even notice it's a cover. Both are good but I was hoping for a little more character coming through the cover.
Menstruating, blood pumping in periods continuous flow I guess lol You would have to ask the writer of this song and knowing them they won't give you a straight answer anyway :P
This song by disturbed is so badass I didn't really care for the original but omg this version is so fucking on point and it sounds better. #waytogodisturbed
Nice try but a cover should be your own interpretation of the music, not a clone of how the original was. Should just listen to the original, Mike Patton is one of the best vocalists/ musicians and Faith No More is EPIC
Respect for Disturbed, replicating the voice of Mike Patton is not possible for any human.
God,I remember hearing the original in GTA San Andreas. The nostalgia.
+Djordje Gusman Me too ;)
Alex Lusio The original,I know.
+Djordje Gusman this was on gta? WHY AM I HEARING THIS NOW???!!!
The Daltonator Radio X, San Andreas.
sound man
I love the covers Disturbed puts on their albums. Always solid songs.
So far every single one can make a run with the original. As far as I'm concerned, Disturbed can do no wrong anyway.
Yeah they're my tops when it comes to covers. So many great covers they did.
How are ppl THUMBS DOWNING this?? HE KILLS IT🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
"You're perfect, yes, it's true! But without me, you're only you." when u play medic in any FPS
or play as Healer or Resser in any MMO
🤣🤣
Very faithful to the original.
no more
xd
I get it
This cover man... Holy damn.
I am honestly still surprised at how well David can reach Mike's notes and imitate his voice in general, and I'm not using headphones but at points I found it kinda' hard to distiguinsh between them. Very good effort!
I'm actually using headphones, and its so much better.
Faith No More was obviously an influence on Disturbed. This cover is amazing.
In the original song, when I was a kid back when it came out, during the slower "It's a Midlife Crisis" part of the song (2:42 in this song), I used to think he was saying "Wrestlemania, Ronnie's Dead!" lol
hahahahah
You just made my day, sir!
who the fuck is Ronnie? :P
the question is who killed ronnie at wrestlemania welllll..
i hear it too lol
I once read that Mike Patton wrote this about his Idol Madonna...
Jamie Hellfire yup
Pleasantly surprised by this cover.
A beautiful homage to the original as they stayed so close to it. Faith No More was my favorite band in my teens so I will always prefer the original, but this is pretty well done :)
Just realized it was disturbed halfway through....sounds like faith no more. Great cover
Sometimes covers don't do the original justice, not in this case
oh.... I actually thought he sang "You're menstruating hard, it is bleeding enough for two"... kinda liked that verse more lol
Satan Stan it's menstruating HEART word play on "bleeding heart"
Glad i'm not the only one haha.
The version from Faith No More is specifically about Madonna. I feel like this version from distrubed is more generally about someone going through a midlife crisis.
Feel free to call me dumb given that their both the same lyrics.
David Draiman is a great unique vocalist, but Mike Patton is the GOAT. Great cover though, definitely did the song justice.
Probs the best FNM cover I've heard. I like it, good job.
Faith No More
Faith No More was a huge influence on Disturbed, you can hear similarities to Mike Patton in David‘s voice.
It's crazy how all these singers that are taught how to sing aren't as good as mike Patton that I've heard has taught himself how to do all the voices he does it just shows how talented mike Patton is
I prefer this
Why haven't they been as good as Mike Patton?
Mike Patton is just gifted with a great voice, not many people can match it
This cover is so fucking amazing. Just as good as the original in my opinion. Unlike Shout 2000, this gets all my respects!
Bruh shout 2000 is the best
I seriously don't get all the hate that Disturbed gets. Seriously, why do people hate them. This is almost spitting image of the original except for the outro and the guitars being more prominent. People need to pull their head out of their ass

@@ibomidablehonky agreed! If they were an underdog band, nobody would care and they'd get more love from true fans.
Your damn right people need to get their heads out of their asses they clearly don't have any idea what they're talking about
Bad taste is everywhere unfortunately lol , maybe those people get disturbed easily lol , metal music is a manly hard badass art material , weaklings are simply not allowed
Very well done remake!!Love the original, but this is a great remake!!!
The Faith No More version was "Epic" but if anyone was going to redo this song, this would be the band. Bad ASS!!!!! Especially since when the Faith No More version came out I was like 12. Now, I get it...
CidAngst I like what you did with the "Epic." That's good.😉
I love this song 🎵!!
LOVE DISTURBED!!!!!
Clearly Mike Patton was an influence on this guy
Disturbed as a whole were heavily influenced by Faith No More, as were a lot of the other “nu-metal” bands of the time.
Also an influence on Jonathan Davis especially those growls.
What a ripper cover....kicks ass
I like Disturbed and it has nothing to do with nostalgia. But imo, the original is better.
I like this cover almost as much as the original, I used to skateboard to these guys as a kid in the late 80s and 90s.
I have to say that if anyone was going to pull off a cover of this song, it would be disturbed; david draimen definitely has the voice. but I feel that they warped the feeling or emotion of the song to heavy. none the less, a bad ass cover.
nothing can be better than the original.....
it destroys the original lol
The original is better, but this one is very good as well.
@@brandonvladovic4194 Destroys? No. That's silly. This one is also good.
cool song I like both disturbed and Faith no More
Great cover too
good cover, but way too like the original. It has no sense of identity, although that could be because of how much Disturbed is influenced by Faith No More.
Draman said they wanted to sound as close to Faith No More with this cover.
Daud Less And he did sound just like Mike Patton more or less, especially during the line “It’s a midlife crisis.”
They surprisingly make good covers.
this came out the summer i was 16, i think at the same time as Hunger Strike, I think Pearl Jam Black (could be wrong), ad I'm missing some song that kills... Ugh!!!! Anyway. LOVE this song, and you"re cover was righteous! Im failing at finding a karaoke/instrumental version for me to cover. :0(
if you like Black by Pearl Jam, look up the unplugged version
I Love this version!
I mean listening to these songs on San Andreas is awesome. My favorite station was K Dust at the time. Now I'm 34 and also like Alice and Guns n Roses and Faith No More. Some of the the remakes are awesome especially Disturbed
Forward to this group to ❤AMAZING GRACE
He sounds so much like Mike Patton..It's awesome!
ya the type of song that when i see a cover i hope they do it justice which they did lol good job guys :)
Out fekin standing!
this version is tight and crunchy
Disturbed is awesome
I love this song by faith no more but Damn these guys really rocked this song.
Disturbed for life Rah!!!Rah!!!!
Didn't think the original could be made anymore badass. I've officially been proven wrong.
Awesome,better than oryginal for me...
Pozdrawiam :P
Almost identical. They both lead singers sound like each other. This is like a slightly modified remaster!
The instrumentals of this cover aren't bad, but the vocals and whatever the fuck was going on with that weird ending ruin it.
cherrycolouredx I couldn't agree more. Patton is a giant next to this hack.
They had fun with this, but Faith No More are timeless
Have you heard Sound of Silence? Or any other Disturbed song? This 'hack' has more vocal talent then 99% of the singers out there, period.
I'm not a disturbed fan. They're not heavy enough for me. But I love this song (GTA3 Nostalgia) and this cover is the heavier version it deserved. It's just how I wanted it done.
Only Mike Patton can sing this song
Mother: "Faith No More or Disturbed?"
Me: "YES!"
I wish this version was on San Adreas ! :D
I love this song and We rock on with Disturbed forever \m/
How have I only just found out disturbed covered Midlife Crisis!
Damn very faithful to the original.
sounds good
I was expecting it to be more Distrubed-y like their other great covers. The last bit of double bass is the only difference really. Still fuckin good though man.
Awesome.
I like disturbed's version coz Davud's voice is more kickass!
love it
I like both bands. And both songs. stop complaining.
gta san andreas radio x my favourite radio station to listen when i used to play
I didn't expect this cover to sound so identical to the original I almost thought I was hearing mike Patton voice in the chorus
Can't reach the original, that was lived from the inside. This is a empty shell this song. But still good at hearing ^^
Great!
I think it follows the original TOO closely until the end. If your not paying attention and doing something else you could easily not even notice it's a cover. Both are good but I was hoping for a little more character coming through the cover.
No one gonna mention tony hawk underground 2? Possibly the best videogame soundtrack ever.
Fall fucking money crisis in midlife....hellzzz
BerserkosaurusRex highly approves.
Wish Disturbed would do Enjoy The Silence
this is good enough, the vocal is good but this version seems to lack some sounds? idk, it feels like that.
Wow. Decent...
Love Disturbed. They have plenty of songs. This cover feels pointless though. Faith No More's version is already good.
Covers aren't meant to outperform the original, they are simply another version of the same song.
However The Sound of Silence cover is awesome.
a cover its a way for them to show their affection and respect for other bands
Disturbed is covering a fucking Mike Patton song, be grateful communist heathen.
Well they covered the song for a Faith No More tribute album.
Disturbed knows how to make a cover
GTA San Andreas!
Patton cleans are great, but Draiman it's overall better to me. I also prefer the instrumentals in this over faith no more song.
I keep on wondering which one is the original? Faith No More's or Disturbed's? Which one is the remix?
Faith no more is the original
30-something is no longer considered a midlife crisis age.
maybe not by you...
30-something is definitely in the mid-range of an average human lifespan.
y0rema
More along the lines of 40s, but yes.
love it!
badass
It is good, but I want to hear Mushroomhead doing this song cover. It would be epic.
Here for my 30th birthday
Does anyone know the meaning behind the lyrics menstruating heart?
What pumps through the heart?
Blood... But why use the term menstruating?
Menstruating, blood pumping in periods continuous flow I guess lol
You would have to ask the writer of this song and knowing them they won't give you a straight answer anyway :P
3:34
Eso por que no escuchaste la canción original.
This song by disturbed is so badass I didn't really care for the original but omg this version is so fucking on point and it sounds better. #waytogodisturbed
Nice try but nope...Mike Patton is god
Sounds exactly like faith no mores version it's perfect
🤘✋✌️
Don't get it twisted: I love the original but this version is pretty goddamn great, too!
Of course Faith No more takes it but it is still a good listen. And the lyrics are almost too much.
Tony Hawks Underground 2 :')
+Jacob Frye i remember this hearing all the time in this game :)
Yeah classic
didnt even know it was a cover version .. silly me
Yummy!
So much better version louder,bass,SoGoooood
Whats the reference? Baby boomers on medicare? Lol.
It's pretty good, but the original is better.
Shut up disturbed is the best !!!!!!
Jesse De Groot I got no problems with disturbed they're one of my favorite bands. But unfortunately, nothing can beat the original song.
Dodge_Ram shut up !!!!!!!!!!!!111111
Disturbed is awesome, but Faith No More is way better. It's a simple fact.
Nice try but a cover should be your own interpretation of the music, not a clone of how the original was. Should just listen to the original, Mike Patton is one of the best vocalists/ musicians and Faith No More is EPIC
