Finally together I give an update on my 1972 TVR 2500M project. Don't forget to visit my website for more updates: www.thisweekwit... This Week With Cars - Episode 0055
Nice wheels but they are not the wheels a 1972 TVR Vixen 2500 came with. I didn't recognize them, so I went back and check a picture of my '72 TVR I bought new, and they are not the same.
I only ever drove the 1972 version in 1972 whilst in the factory, as it was on our nightly wanders. Fifty years later they still look and sound truly marvelous.
I did not know that these cars used the TR6 engines......when I was a kid walking to school in the mid 70's these were at a dealer on my walk......one side of the street sold Jags the other side sold TVR ....it was always so hard to decide......
Those wheels changed the whole look of the car, nice choice. Way to bring a vintage car back from the brink. TVR's are not a common car in the US, glad you are saving this one.
Did i see the sway-bar link on that lower A-arm connected to nothing? it all went very fast, still drooling over that engine with those 3 webers... tasty.
She's a beautiful car Steve, and apparently from UK. I'm not familiar with this make, can you give me a brief background? BTW I'm enjoying your channel! ...Newk from Kentucky
Hi Steve, great and informative videos ,love the red paint finish ,have you the paint code for this car please iam about to repaint my tvr taimar andlove this shade of red ,cheers kevin.
Steve What do you think of the 1979 VW Puma sp1 and the 1973/74 VW do Brasil sp2? I am amazed at how these cars were designed back then! They could pass for any car built today. Per chance do you own one? Thanks for your videos!
Hi, think the standard front lamps were from the mini clubman (the square nose type), at least that's what uk spec cars used. I quite liked the revolution alloys but can see why you would want to go back to stock. What size were the revs? 16"? Nice repair on the bonnet too!
I know I asked about the TVR in one of your other videos so I'll have to find that and read your answer again but dumb question what is said of those wheels fit the old school 4-bolt mustang
Steve:Have you done any V12 Jaguars? Since you seem to like British cars I just wandered. I like em too the Jaguar E type V12 being my all time favourite in signal red with a black convertible top.
the amber oblong lights on the front are the same as a mk1 ford escort front indicator ( front blinker ) upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/39/Ford_Escort_RS2000_MkI.jpg
Shudder to guess what those correct wheels cost. I assume you had to import them? Do you have you own repair facilities because if not you haven't listened to your own advice on overspending on older cars!!! (Last feature) . Nonetheless it looks very nice and you must feel pretty satisfied on the finished product.
That's magical bodywork
Love the new wheels, they are top notch.

I have never had one but have thought about. I think the high prices for them show that they are respected and people think they are good looking.

You will find out that answer in the next video.
What size and offset were the revolution wheels if you know please and tyre size?
Have you had to take the gas tank out!? is it possible to do without removing the rear window?
That's great! What happened to the Vixen?
👏👍🇬🇧 definitely the right choice changing them wheels....
What’s happened to the Jag? Interested from the UK😉👍
Will do the next video with it once the snow is gone.

Luckily these wheels I found in the states from two separate sellers to obtain a full set.
And yes I am doing it for the enjoyment of the card not to make any money on them. I do not intend to sell it.
How many cars have you got?
Dude...you are a miracle worker...well done
I have one of these so more M Series content please 😁
