You soak the Oasis cubes with nutrient water? I've always thought it should be plain pH water then give nutrients when true leaves form. Curious what strength do you soak it with?
It's just easier for me to use my nutrient water right from the NFT system. I used to make PH water for the seedlings but found no difference. EC is 1.2 PH is 5.8
Thanks for your question! Proper spacing is key to healthy plant growth. I try and put no more than 4 seeds into each cube. If there are more when I go to put them into the channel I thin to 3-4 plants.
Question for you when you have time. I have a Viosun T5 Grow Light also. Do you ever have any issue with the bulbs going out very often? What do you use for replacement bulbs? Mines seems to keep having bulbs burn out. Thank you very much
Not yet but the lights a very new. I replace with T-5 high Kelvon bulbs. When it seems the ballast goes bad or they are burning bulbs fast I convert the fixture to LED. I did a video on it if you're interested.
Hi! I'm starting to grow hydroponics this year. With it being a small home setup (24 cells) I don't have an auto dose mechanism. How often should I be checking on my nutrients and pH? Daily? Weekly? Thanks!
My best advice is to just watch the plants very closely they will tell you when things go wrong with the nutrients, ph but if you want to be more proactive then reactive, I would check every other day.
Yes. They are designed to hold plenty of water and drop right into the NFT channels. I use them for all my NFT plants. Because they are rather small and close together, they are not suitable for larger seedlings like cucumbers, but are great for lettuce, bok choy and similar NFT crops.
❤❤❤
Thank you for helping my seed germinate as always, too knowledgeable and pretty. O.o
So nice of you. Thank you for watching!!
Always look so forward to learning with you.

with bok choy, you have multiple plants in each cube? How do you determine how many seeds you can have per cube without overcrowding?

beautiful update and tips video :) thank you
Thank you for watching. I’m glad you like.
Just wondering in your nursery trays does the water run all the time or do you have it come on and off?
it runs 24-7 same as the NFT channels
You're amazing
Thanks! You made my day!!

You wish you had women like that in your country don't you?😂
Thank you so much

Good to know the benefits for switching to the Oasis cubes. Are they made from synthetic foam?

Not sure they say they are biodegradable and they breakdown in my compost pile very fast.
Hlo
