Dr Strange is my favourite MCU character. Throughout roughly 8 canon years in the MCU his character improved and grew so much. Like he might act arrogant and cold on the outside but deep down he cares a lot (very much like Sherlock). And he's so misunderstood and underrated. Nobody even remembered or thanked him for dying multiple times to save Earth from Dormammu Plus, he and Benchball Crunchybatch are hot 😏
I love that in the latest DS movie, Strange gets to become a good father figure to someone. He and Peter just didn't work out and he ended up forgetting who he was, in the end, but he and America can surely remain a father-daughter couple even if America finds her moms.
The fact that he's lived through the loss of his entire family and the Sorcerer Supreme, and after Endgame, he lost most of the Avengers, he no longer remembers Peter, and Christine has moved on - like this man needs a break and I really hope he and Clea can find some moments of happiness during their journey to stop the Incursion

We’d like to believe that as long as we work hard enough, try hard enough, that eventually we can get what we want but it doesn’t always work out that way. Fairy tales tell us that 2 people who love each other should be together but that doesn’t always happen. And sometimes, it’s just easier to erect a wall to hide our emotions. BC’s Dr Strange is my favourite hero because he epitomises this… for the greater good. He loves Christine but he also cares for the world a lot more than he’d care to show so he tries his best to do the right thing-for the individual and for the whole-even if doesn’t work out perfectly in the end. He’s willing to sacrifice himself for the people he cares for (and as of yet, hasn’t found anyone who’d do the same for him because really… loving him and staying by his side would take a lot of sacrifice as well just as it takes a lot of sacrifice from the loved ones of our own real life heroes). He understands that happiness isn’t always the endpoint. Life is.

Strange has been through a lot, but I definitely disagree about Thor. Thor watched ALL of his family die, including Loki after they were finally bonding, all of his fellow asgardians except Sif, and then saw his biggest love interest die too. Strange with dormammu for all of that time is definitely notable, but in the end he didn't sustain any physical harm because of the time rewind with the infinity stone.
