The traditional way of sardin peratal in Malaysia... reminds me of my childhood.... perfect with fried egg with hot white rice...not forgetting lemon pickle..... Heaven!!!....
First time i watched indian home cooking with ajinomoto.. Normally, indians they dont use ajinomoto. Even without that thing food will still be tasty..

3 things i do differently than this video and taste super good 1st I fry the makarel fish separately not fully fried but partly fried only 2nd i also add about 3 dried chilis when adding the curry leave and 1 spoon of chili powder after putting in the can of sardine 3rd i use tamarand water instead of lime water after i put in the can of sardine and also i dont use ajinamoto.
I was craving for my late mum's sardine perattal and was searching for the exact similar one, till i came across your mum's video...it looks exactly like my mum's bt without the ajinamoto...i am gona try dis, thank you so much
canned sardine paratal, is our malaysia and singapore soul food among the makkals, thanks dear for the upload, i am been cooking previously using 2 tablespoon of curry powder, almost gave up my favourite dish, till i closely observe your video, use only 2 tea spoon, it came out well, am sure your mothers hand version will be amazing, hoping to eat at your house some day, cheers
I am Indian and man no matter where you go you cant live without spices and masala. Best in the whole wide world, not criticizing but a lot of people are getting towards healthy eating and are following Indian way of dieting. idli, dosa, chutney we dont cook it with oil. and turmeric is better than any other european can packed food. Rusiyo rusi 👌👌👌
Hello :) Sardine peratal looks yummy! Please add more malaysian dishes with ikan bilis ( ikan bilis sambal, ikan bilis with vegetables) and more :) Eager to watch and do.
Looks yummy thanks for uploading..im going to cook tomorrow for my hubby hope i can do it perfectly like u do...trying my best...good luck to me tomorrow...cheeeeers.....
Look good. But I won't break up the fish after adding curry powder. When the curry powder is cooked, I'll add water and tamarind/lime juice. Then add salt and sugar, finally fish (I'll omit ajinomoto). I like my fish whole. Then I'll add onion rings, potato cubes, cpriander leaves.

Tried it but I'm afraid sardines in a sauce like this is not for me. 😞

yes it is
Hi Mr Ramesh, the curry powder is fish curry powder?
Sardine choose the makeral type taste good
That looks good. But was that really poppy seeds? Or mixed spices usually used for fish curry....
nice recipe...thanks!
What curry powder? Meat or fish curry powder? Not mentioned.
Super ji
ur title says sardine but in the video the fish can says mackerel wat r u really cooking? because i ordered some sardines from the store.
+vaiouser I'm sure sardines and mackerel are interchangeable in this recipe
.
for that brand theres 2 type of fish mackerel and sardine but we'll call it sardine. confuse so am i 😆. it's more to a local dialect.
great oBSERVATION !!! Thanks for pointing out!
Looks good !
Thank you
Yummh
Mashallah tastes good Ramesh!😊
It's very tasty
Says Sardine in the Description but Makeral on the Tin ??
Are they sardines or jack mackerel fish it looks like that fish 🐟 🤔 to me lol either way yummy love this video

It's a hit in our home 🏡
5mins sardine fry in 6mins. Awesome though, thanks.
Why are you using a can of mackerel in sardine fry?
Nice
Yummy
More like 6 minutes lol
+SlankeBabe, i am malaysian.
Ramesh Raguan spicy nasi lemak sambal pls
Ramesh Raguan Thank you for sharing this recipe.Gonna try it today. I'm Malaysian too.
I too am Mlaysian.. i loved this sardine curry.. my mum used to make it for us to go with rice and dal
What curry powder never add chilli
Looks good. But could have omitted using the ajinomoto.
Hello ur cooking methods nice but without ajina it's more taste ,u can add chine siregam powder for more tastes
In the beginning cumin and mustard seeds were not mentioned. Also the fish was mashed up too much. 😮
Indian foods always taste
The Ajinomoo not needed ..lime juice maybe a bit pinch of tumeric should do the trick
I will skip the ajinamoto. Artificial flavouring is not always good for human health on the long run
Aji no moto not necessary.. Even without anm will be tasty if u cook with all the correct ingredients
Sis what curry powder?
Any fish curry powder will do
legend 🙏🙏🙏
It’s mackerel not sardines.. but what the hell, it looked so delicious!
You're using mackerel tho..
thnks for the vid
The curry powder is fish or meet curry powder?!
Fish curry powder
