Our Corn Harvest and Filling up the New Silage Pit

Our corn harvest is complete! Paul goes over what silage is as well as why it is such a great feed for cattle. We had such a good yield from our fields that it filled up our silage pit well beyond the walls we had in place.
We will use this silage to feed our cattle through the winter and into the spring. It is a fantastic feed to raise happy and healthy cows for our Cannon Ranch Beef!

After feeding that pile out, are you content to continue without plastic covers? Or was there too much waste?

@MrJimsonweed67 Thank you! We actually covered it after this year's harvest. With the extra moisture this year it ended up creating more waste than we were happy with. Luckily feed was so plentiful on the range that it didn't impact us negatively. We just wrapped up the harvest this year and will do an update video in the coming weeks. Thank you for your comment!
