Got my first click stand "way back in the day" when the company first started. Just bought the heavier model. Could I make one from tent poles or a stick? Sure. But I don't mind supporting a small business that makes a good product.
Great! Definitely going to get this one now. Your channel is great, Im about to embark on my own bike tour around the world and your channel has been a huge source of inspiration! Can’t thank you enough 🙏
I just found your channel. I hope you're doing okay on your own without Matilda. Maybe you could find a friend to join you. Everyone needs a friend. Also maybe you could make a quick video on how you clean your chain. People recommend those $30 plastic cleaning machines which use lots of solvent but that seems like a waste of money and bad for the environment.
Welcome to the channel, a-lot have happened during the last you will see it all in the upcoming movies . good idea about the cleaning chain video. i will keep in mind 🙌🏼
Hi Philippine was really nice to cycle, in the future the movies from Philippine will be published. btw, you might have seen in Nomadstrails instagram account, i was Not cycling in the Philippines with Matilda. as i haver mentioned she won't be cycling anymore 😊
Thanks a lot for your independent and experienced opinion. I did it like you. When I had the feeling I'm in an area were a stand is useful... I looked for the trees and cut one ;) But often they are not really important. Save travels Peyman.
I absolutely LOVE the concept but its so vulnerable to theft by lowlife thieves 🤨. I think this would be great if it was mounted on the top tube, on a track screwed into the top tube for adjustability. Patent pending 😉😊 Maybe even a center, double kickstand, when in town where the thieves are, or when space is at a premium. I like the center, double kickstand that folds up both legs to the left side of the bike too. Both options?
Top tip= walking pole rubber tips will fit the clickstand to give it more grip on tarmac/concrete, love the video I have clickstands for all my bikes and I learned a lot thanks 🎉
What I don`t understand. Why do you switch bikes so often? I am riding my bike yearly 15.000km and don`t have to. Don`t you service them right? Or just curious about new stuff?
One bike indeed can ride for many for many hundred thousands of kilometers. The reason i switch bikes is a part of my content I creat us about bike tech. So I order to have good understanding about bikes and different components I test those on my rides. This a reason I switch bikes and setups 😊
I had a carbon fiber Zpacks tent pole break during a severe storm. I took the broken section out and it makes a perfect bike stand. I place it between the seat rails on the bottom of the saddle and it breaks down to 4 pieces. 56 grams. ✌
@@DanieleCarletti it has a plastic plug on both ends of the pole. It's long enough I just place it between the saddle rails underneath the saddle and the end rests underneath the saddle body.
Because it takes time to edit videos. The next video will be the new film about cycling in North Norway. Also review and tech videos will be always a part of my content like always 😊
Hi, yoy are most welcome, just got back from bikepacking trip in the philipines. Has happened a lot, i try to publish as maany videos i can, so i hope to bring the youtube to the current timeline soon 😊
In North America and Australia kick stands are looked down upon by the cycling community since cycling is just a sport for middle age men in lycra. In Japan and Europe all the bikes have a kick stand as it makes sense.
Excellent review man. What size/spec is yours click stand? I have the same size frame so your advice on this will make the ordering process much easier!
I made a click stand out of old aluminum tent poles I had at home. they three poles are held together with a bungie cord running the length and has a Y shaped yoke You can attach the folded stand somewhere on your bike using two snap clips that are designed to hold a broom in the closet. Since I last posted I have made a telescoping bike stand made out of one leg of a photo tripod. The telescoping leg is adjustable from 21 inches (53.34) extends to 5 feet 152 C) Weight 11oz (317g). The pole can used as a bike stand, walking stick, cane, or tent pole. Many tent poles are 21 inches when folded. A basket can be attached to the bottom for sandy soil. Available at REI. I placed rubber chair feet on each end.
Good tips thanks! If the tent pole is strong enought then it will work. But now days with this super light weight trend going on, it is hard to find durable tent poles 😅
The new tent pols are a piece of junk. I would rather have a sturdy tent Pole that will get me through than to save a few grams on the trail or road. Happy trails to you.
Very useful video! I went through this exact set of decisions for my tourer too - didn’t want the weight of a 2 leg, or the frame stresses from a single leg stand. Came across Click Stand and love the strength, convenience and low weight. So useful when loading your bike after a night camping, and the ability to vary which side the bike leans, and at what angle is great. Safe travels!
I have seen it a time ago in one of your older videos. I bought one. The best bike stand ever :) Many were surprised already asked what it is and where to buy.
If you know a Better stand than Click Stand for biketouring & bikepacking let me know and give me your reasons for it 😊
Much better than bending the bike frame with a kick stand.
@@tomsitzman3952 100% agree! 🙌🏼
You definitely show the world how to live.
I just try to share my experiances in a best way possible 😊
thanks, I need this 😄😊

indeed it is really great support the small company who makes such nice product. also i love the U head, it is had to make the it 😁
Yea, that's why I ordered it. I like buying from small cottage brands and feel good rewarding someone for ingenuity.
Great seeing a new video. Save travels ❤

brilliant, I have broken parts from bike falling over leaning against tree. I will pick one up to solve the problem and save money long term.
Happy to see you again! Great informative video! Thank you!
Most welcome :)
Nice insight from 3 different bike stands👍 I've been using the rear kick stand and it deform my chain stay from my old MTB

Have one myself, a great bit of kit. Other stands will damage your frame and can invalidate your warranty
Good point about the warranty 👍
Thank you for the video, now I underSTAND.
most welcome 😂

Thanks for the tip! will try it out! most welcome! 😊
Also Clickstand sells the rubber tips. Some trekking pole covers are too wide to fit
Are you in the philippines
Good one!
Thanks, but can't find it, but i got a hiking pole maybe make a bike attachment to add on to it...

What did you use at the contact point with the bike?

Check out the "steer-stopper".
indeed it looks nice, , i haven't test this model, i have used another model which didn't work properly.

I’ve been using a Click Stand for quite a while now. And, you’re absolutely right. It’s the absolute best and lightest for cycle touring.
Good to hear, indeed it is really handy and works good 👍🏽
Is perfect but for 40 dollars, that very to much . The same one U hook is for 1,20$ and aluminium stick is for 4 dollars , But still very good vid.
thank you 🙌🏼
Great video
