Mayberry mini trucks sell air filters for 20.00 a piece. I just bought a mini truck from them and got 5 extra ones to have. Everything else he said can be cross referenced. Thanks!
The number one thing I would absolutely do without question, replace your timing belt and water pump. Unless you can find evidence (usually a label) that it's been done in the last 3 or so years. It should have been replaced at 100k KM or 7 years. It's the most likely failure (most catastrophic) you will encounter along with the fuel pump. Also, Replace as many of the vacuum lines in and around the carburetor and fuel lines attached to the fuel tank. This will avoid MANY problems in the future. I just sold my 2wd Daihatsu Super Jumbo. After I went through mine, I drove it everyday to work and it was 100% reliable. Good Luck!
Should have used kayak handles. A lot of kayak accessories would work on this truck too. Gear tracks Pad Eyes Hooks Bungees Lashing straps Soft roof racks
Very nice! My 97 Carry is to go the port early June. Can you show those Miata wheels a bit more in the next video? And maybe share where you picked them up from? That’s a great idea and an option I’m considering now.
I want to get one. I'm tied between pejaro, jimney or carry. I just don't know how someone being 6'1 would handle with leg room in the car lol. Great mod video.
In Japan cars guys used to steal subway rings and attach them to their rear tow points and their car was finally “low enough” when the ring would rub the ground and break. Now it has become a part of JDM car culture.
Your import video helped me to get my own mini truck, so thank you!! Been working on mine for a few months now. Do you have a link to that subway grab handle? Cheers!
The ride is smoother. As you probably realize, these trucks are geared very low so a taller tire would usually hurt low end performance, but the low gearing makes it work.
Mate, you just need to petition your congress (or maybe senate, not sure but I think congress would be better), so that all cars in the U.S. drive on the left hand side of the road, which is the the right side of the road and not on the right hand side, which is the wrong side. Frombie 10:48
I like my wheels. We do not have lots of small wheels here in the US. There is more coming to this build but I don’t need push start or backup camera for this basic pickup.

Mine was replaced just before I bought it.

I’ll see if I can show more, I did have to modify them to fit, but it wasn’t hard.

I’m lucky to say I’m 5’ 10” and actually probably be 5’ 9” 😂

The Miata wheels turned out great! Subway RIng?

Where did you buy that Japanese subway handle?
Mine is not authentic, but you can find them all over eBay just search “tsurikawa.”

I’m glad it worked out well for you. I got my subway handle from eBay, they are called “tsurikawa” and are sold lots of places.
Good video! What size tires are you running with those wheels?
Those were 165/65-14. Currently on 13” BBS wheels and about to go back to 14s with another tire size.
@@DentedFenderGarage what tire size did you end up running with the 14s?
Currently on 185/55-14
Where do you get parts and are they difficult to get
I have cross referenced some parts and others just off websites or eBay. Not hard to find.
How does it drive with them wheels Thinking about getting some for my 96 Carry. They fit without having to lift it right ?
Feels same as stock but there is front hub center clearance that you can either file away or use a small spacer
Hey man! just wondering, how's the performance with the 14 inch rims on? we have the same kei truck model
The ride is smoother. As you probably realize, these trucks are geared very low so a taller tire would usually hurt low end performance, but the low gearing makes it work.
Rim size doesn’t matter much.
It is the outside diameter of the tire that effects overall gear ratio .
@philipreasons3298 correct
Holy roller?
Nah, mixed background but never Pentecostal Holiness.

I’ll work on it. 😂
And try 13x7 outer rims, lyk -7 offset,wd 175/50/13
Where would these be available?
You can add up Push Start button, keyles.entry, revrese cam,and car audio wd this pick up,😂

Really enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work. Matthew 5:16
Thank you so much. I’ve vowed to let my light shine here, even if it costs me viewership.
I was interested until your attempt to subliminally suggest stupid Christian ideals.
I’m not alone.
I’m a Christian, there was no “subliminal” suggestion, I put it right out there. Being a Christian doesn’t change the information provided. Haha
Are you selling your old rims or keeping them ?
Im keeping them, they’re worth more as spares than I could make selling them.
When I went to Japan I loved it
