In the late 90s, I heard Art Bell interviewing an animal communicator. At one point, Art asked his guest something about talking with his cat, and the guest said something like, "Oh, you can't communicate with your cats with words. You have to picture what you want your cat to do in your mind." At the time, I didn't have a cat handy, so I filed that little tidbit away for later. Fast forward a few years, where I was sitting in a class on a warm summer day, when one of the women in my class went out to her car and brought her cat in, and she let the small group of women pet it and etc. ... and while they were doing that, I remembered what that animal communicator told Art, so I pictured myself cradling the cat in my arms like a baby, while rubbing my knuckles on her forehead. As soon as I pictured that in my mind, the cat turned it's head almost completely around, her eyes opened really wide, then she jumped out of the grasp of the woman that was holding her, jumped on and off the two empty desks in front of me, and when she got to me, she buried her head inside my jacket, and started purring .... loudly. As you might guess, the gals were wondering what was going on, so I said, "Wow, I think she likes me!" Then I rubbed my knuckles on her forehead as I had pictured myself doing, and then I said softly, "Why don't you go say 'Hi' to Tammy up there," while picturing the woman in my mind .... and off she went to be fussed over by Tammy. That is definitely not something one can easily forget, that's for sure.
How adorable! 😻 When your kitty grooms your nose, it’s a clear sign that they see you as part of their family. It's their way of showing love and trust, just like they would with their mother or father. You're lucky to have such a loving companion! 🥰
@@HealthyandHappyPets-zk3sy She's not very happy wh"en I take out the leash however. Used to take her for walks in a nearby park/recreational area until last August when she manage to get lose from her harness and was gone for 6 nights. I'm thanking whatever super natural powers out there that she came back. (We live in a small apt at the moment - and I know that getting some fresh air on her nose is good for her. Deep down she knows that as well... Still haven't figured out any magic that works for my fur baby to get over her fear of "scary outdoors" and the leash.

My kittie loves to groom my nose every once in a while.
