Durango and Silverton, Shop Tour, 4-6-0 #18 and the Galloping Goose, May 2019

- This is footage from my shop tour at the D&SNG, it was great, got to see Southern Pacific #18 the Slim Princess and this also includes some footage of Galloping Goose #5! Also K-37 #493 being rebuilt and converted to oil.
I'm actually planning on visiting this place later this year and gonna ride behind SP 18 during its second visit which I'm still surprised it happened but tbh I think its gonna make more visits in the future mainly since D&S is the only narrow-gauge line that has allowed the engine to run on their tracks.
Who dares not let this magnificent railfan have so many likes in this precious video? Whoever does not like this video, will get punished and fear thy wraith!!!
I think 21:10 that was 498’s tender body or 493s original??
I hope 486 runs again. She and 481 are my favorite K-36 Mikados.
A few questions. 1. Why is 480 just in the yard and not in the roundhouse? 2. Is 486 having its 1472 completed? If so, will it be done this year? Thanks
480 is in the yard due to a lack of storage space because of 18 and 493 in the roundhouse. Not sure on 486, regular maintenance i believe.

Why did you add sound effects? Why not just let us take in the sounds of the workshop?

You should check out the Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad in Flint, Michigan, I wrote the Carson and Colorado railroad restoration group a letter that they should run Southern Pacific engine #18 there
I actually have been to the Huckleberry Railroad, went in 2011 and have a couple of video's of the trip.
Oh ok, well anyway the Huckleberry Railroad got their 4-6-0 #152 back up and running

Doesn't the Durango & Silverton have a motorcar?? and if so are they ever planning to restore that motor car??

Not sure, I think they are working on her now.

Ronald Stephens, I think they are getting it repaired as quick as they can so they can run it again until this fall.
