They actually do watch some reaction videos, so you never know.
Yes this is an original, from their debut album titled "Future Friends". This is my favorite track from the entire album, and as much as I love this, there's a choir remix which I love even more.. It is just so powerful and makes you feel the lyrics on a different level. You should check it out in your free time. Its actually about their friendship, the past and the hardships they went through and where they are at now. 💕
They performed a track "Hurry Up" from part 2 of the album live on Corden. They did choreo & everything and slayed the vocals (AVIOUSLY!!). Love everything they're doing. ❤

They used to be together in a relationship, I think I heard this is about their relationship and how that if they didn't work out, they'll be "future friends" in the end. I Think they also confirmed that it was about that in a radio interview.

FF my Interpretation: The fight commentators are Scott and Mitch now dressed sort of like they were in other future friend’s songs videos and they are retelling and commenting on their relationship in the beginning. I think the whole point being that no one won when they broke up. They both were hurting at the loss of each other. I have interpreted parts of this staging to mean the following: Scott comes in with girls so he wasn’t “out” yet when they met.
Mitch comes in with guys, on leashes no less, implying that he was “out” and was the leader in exploring what it means to be gay. When Scott and Mitch actually get in the ring and Mitch raises his hand and Scott takes it-to me that’s symbolizes Scott acknowledging that he’s gay. And that Mitch kissed to Scott as their first kiss (Scott wanted to lead it, but Mitch did lead it.) then the struggle was that they were not perfect for each other at that time. When you see Mitch taller than Scott at one point that symbolizes that Mitch broke up with Scott. And the first kick in the stomach up by the wrestlers indicates that Scott figuratively got kicked in the stomach. Later Scott mouths “f**K” and Mitch gestures “Bring it on” to me this symbolizes that Scott called up Mitch and asked him to be on the Sing Off. So, this is a new phase in their relationship. They tried to get back together but it didn’t work out in a romantic sense as explained in the Scomiche book. But they still care about each other and this is symbolized when they knock each other out but Scott’s arm comes toward Mitch’s head. So, they stopped trying for that romantic peace and became future friends where Scomiche wins and we (the kids) win because we get to observe this amazing “undefined” relationship that they have “fought for” figuratively and literally. I keep watching it over and over and seeing more and more things. And I’m sure we will never know all of the stuff they put in, but they know, and THAT is what matters. We get to listen to the music and dancing feel good, but I believe there’s a lot more in the video in just a good time. BKK

I love your reaction!! This song is actually about their relationship, and the video is one giant metaphor for how they have to fight to stay as close as they do, and how no one ever really wins or loses.

yeah, you should definitely watch the rest of their music videos from their Future Friends album - you started with the last track from Part 1, so you should definitely go back, & watch the rest - in order, if you wish, or not: Imaginary Parties, Bad 4 Us (the official video, with their white suits, not the original animated one), Worth It (Perfect), Vacation, Sexy Ladies, & Heartthrob. and part 2 of their EP just came out, as well as the album as a whole, and they did a performance of Hurry Up! on the Late Late Show, & just released the How You Feeling MV. they're doing a visual album, so they'll be MVs for all the tracks - it's amazing.

On the Sing-Off, Shawn Stockman (from Boyz II Men and one of the Judges) described the way their voices worked was Mitch was "The Yin to Scotts' Yan". Even though the Sing-Off predates Superfruit and Pentatonix, I didn't watch it as closely until AFTER I became a Pentaholic and Superfruit freak. When Shawn said that I instantly thought "If you only knew!"
Their 2nd EP just came out and is absolutely AMAZING! Their newest vid that dropped yesterday is How Ya Feeling - it was all done in one continuous shot! Scott said on twitter they did 4 takes, and kept the 4th one - pleeeease react to it!

you should definitely see their Gay Skit Happens sketches they did for Logo - Almost Romantic & Summer Songs + the bloopers (all 3 videos are super short, so you could combine them all into one reaction video, if you wanted). they're hilarious.
From what I can gather, this song is basically about how hard Mitch and Scott have had to fight in order to keep the close bond that they have between them. And if you really listen to the lyrics and break them down, it really does make a lot of sense. Both Mitch and Scott have been each other’s confidant in so many ways since they’ve known each other, and I believe that will always be the case, or at least I’d like to hope so. Even if Superfruit isn’t as active as it used to be, I still choose to believe that Scott and Mitch have this bond that nothing can ever erase. These two have been through everything together, and the day they stop being friends is the day my heart will stop beating, because both men have said several times that they literally cannot live without the other.

Habe angefangen auf Englisch einen Kommentar zu schreiben, habe ihn aber gelöscht nachdem ich gehört habe, dass ihr Deutsch sprecht hahahaha! Das komplette Future Friends Album ist fantastisch und die Hälfte der Songs haben bereits ein Musik Video dafür und die andere hälfte kommt noch (jeden Freitag ein neues). Ihr müsst unbedingt die restlichen Videos sehen und Superfruits Musik hören die beiden sind der Hammer und verdienen noch viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit!
