I have been internalizing shame all my life and finally i realize that it has never been about me being a bad person; instead it has been about them blaming me because they have no self insight and do not know how to apologize.

I have experienced this. Had a friend that was nice at first, but turned out to be a manipulative narcissist. They didn't want to work on themselves or go to school for a certificate of some kind. Expected people to drop riches in their laps; and yet wondered why they weren't happy or had a mate yet. I tried to help them, but they would just get triggered, and eventually ghosted me. On the one hand, I should have left the "friendship" sooner, but at the same time I am glad I gave them a chance to improve. When we were first hanging out, they were actually decent, and we had some good conversations.
This is my narc mom. She’s kept me in the house for months and I’ve killed my self for a convo but what happens is exactly what u describe! So now I put my focus on myself and healing bc I know this is a lesson for me and I create my own reality
Going through this with my parents. My father and I are so close but he’s also controlling and he doesn’t see that. My mother is in complete denial of her emotions. It’s so hard living with them again that it’s destroying my mental health. Physically sick atm. It’s been such a rough year 😢 but it’s comforting knowing I’m not alone 🙏

Yes!! Dad is totally asleep and plugged into the matrix, unless he's taken shrooms. (That's my opportunity to share lots of truth.) Yesterday was a very long, bad day at work after a full week of it, I came home, and he warned me what I was about to put on my plate was pork sausage, knowing I avoid all pig products. I said thank you , and went for the rice and beans instead. Mom had just asked how my day was and I said shit. And he went off and asked what the f* is wrong with pork? I said what the f* does it matter? It's my f*ing body, my life! And I left to go to my aunts earlier than normal. I won't let him treat me the way he treats mom! He will learn! Thank you Phil! Truth!!!
