When Okie was paired up with li'l JT (i'm a Bandits fan) on long island I was a fan of his. Such a solid player and a 60 minute guy. Happy he's here in the 716 teaching these kids how to be in the NHL. His family is so hilarious and perfect. Congrats on 1k, lets get this team in a groove now.

Okie may be a great guy & a great leader but the truth is it wasnt & hasnt been good enough. Sabres grossly overpaid for a 4th line player & the 'leadership' he brings will give u the Buffalo Sabres. It wont give you the Stanley Cup. This 'leadership' the Sabres get from the Girgensons & Okposo's needs to change into something else. Team needs a new identity with new leadership, preferably those who are winners & can skate. Props to your 1000th game Okie. I never thought we'd get to the end of your contract but here we are. You're welcome kids!
Nothing against Okoposo,, Girgensons, Jost, but, they should have been let go for more aggressive players. 14 players contracts are up this year half if not more should be let go, if not that many, this team isn't going far

He looked slow at the start of the year but has really turned it on lately., I think Eric Robinson fits in well on that grinder line. If the Sabres turn things around it will be thanks to Okie.
