I'm glad that they're pushing the technology forward and I hope this works out for them. I think I'll wait for an updated Phase Essential with the new radios. I like the customizable screens, but I don't have enough people in my DJ booth to see a return on investment for the customizable screens, and I can't imagine chasing midi buttons around as the records spin when I have banks of performance pads on my mixer.
@@EarnestMazique this is true, but I’ve also done many clubs where they still have like the pioneer S9 where you can’t have independent pad, modes, and something like the re-loop that doesn’t have silent queue on it already. It’s definitely a feature, but not everybody will need it.

Since I just bought the original Phase, this might be a 2 years or so down the road purchase if I need a write off and they do like a $600-$700 sale. Lol I will say though that mapping silent que to the remote would be pretty cool.
Say your a newish dj coming from a controller and now want to buy a full size setup, Is there a benefit performance wise buying 2 turntables like the plx 1000s or the technics 1200s and phase pro vs buying the plx crss12s? It seems like you kinda get more for the money with the plx crss12s?
@@Trollmaggedon yes that would save me money but that would limited me to dvs and I want to be able to play vinyl. It's not really about saving money it's about getting the most performance out of my dollar.
To each their own but I just see Phase as a solution looking for a problem. You have a product with a diminishing battery (like all battery operated devices) and planned obsolescence, bugs & glitches, the extra task of charging batteries, an extra app running on your computer and so forth. If traditional DVS works for you just stick with that!

I’ll take that any day of the week. I’ve done 100s of videos and have had way worse issues. Sometimes they don’t turn out like you hope but the context is still there. It’s just subtitles to help with his accent. If you saw the amount of edits I’d have to do, you wouldn’t do them either. I only have so much time. The fact that you knew the difference tells me it wasn’t a big deal.

I totally agree with you they should have found a way to make a record phase. Not worth $800 considering we have other options.

What controller do you have?
You’d save more money just buying the rane 12 MK2 and using DVS mode. I think phase is honestly best suited for DJs who already have turntables.
