Love that we have a bunch of vets on our team, who can show the young guys the ropes and what it takes to be a professional and what it means to be a Brown and how much work it takes to be great! We’ve been missing this element of our team forever!
The cool thing about the browns CR trio and the scheme is that they are all 3 good but all 3 have different skill sets that are unique to them from the others. The browns also play predominantly man coverage. This allows them to assign CBs to WRs based on matchups from week to week. Like ward you match up best with “this guy wr” this week. Newsome you are a great fit to cover “that guy wr” this week. Emerson, you are best suited to cover “the other guy wr” this week. This way each CB simply follows their assigned guy wherever they happen to line up. I also like the promising depth behind them. Some have really similar skill sets to step in just in case of injury.
