    This is one of the best (if bot the best) football channels on RUclips! I have played soccer my entire life but became truly obsessed with American Football when I immigrated to the USA 20 years ago. I've learned more about football from this channel than all of my football books that I have and I have quite a few of those...

    Coach when I’m running a out against head up zone all I have to do is to get him to flip his hips then cut? And would you prefer a box cut or a speed cut on a out against sone

    • @firstdowntraining
      @firstdowntraining  2 года назад

      Definitely speed cut against zone and yes. You are correct with the route just need to get out in 1 step- QB wants that ball out quick against zone

    If I’m supossed to run routes off of steps if I were to run for example a post do I count in my head 6 and do my break like that?

    • @firstdowntraining
      @firstdowntraining  4 дня назад

      Yes but count outside steps. Like 3rd outside- it makes it easier and you can play faster

    hey coach, when you are selling fade and ur arnt running as hard and fast as u can, like the first clip in the video, when u break is that when u run 100%? or do u always run at a controlled speed

    • @firstdowntraining
      @firstdowntraining  2 года назад +2

      I would say you always want to run at a controlled 100%- so not like all out where you’re out of control but controlled speed with your arms going

    Hey Coach what are the best routes to run vs cover 1?

    • @firstdowntraining
      @firstdowntraining  8 месяцев назад

      Anything quick. So slants, fades, quick posts etc. QB is getting a little pressure so it’s always best to get off the ball fast and go
