  • Dave (who doesn't like heights) and Rachel take on the fastest zip line in the world (also the longest in Europe) at Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda, North Wales. Includes both the Little Zipper and Big Zipper; plus the ride in up to the top in the red trucks.

    Brilliant video! Glad to see you enjoyed the zip-line or at least LOOKED as though you enjoyed the zip-line! I went on this last year as can be seen on my RUclips channel. It has changed a lot as the launch areas are now covered and with 4 zip-lines instead of 2 and 'Little Zipper' also goes over the lake a little bit. I was very nervous so next time I know I'll enjoy it more as I now know that there is nothing to be nervous about. The facilities are great too!

    I’m going to be doing this in a couple of weeks for charity. I’m a wheelchair user and can’t wait.....walking? Nah I’ve been there done that, this’ll be what I image flying would feel like!

      babe2be I’m a wheelchair user too, how did you find the experience .?? 🥰

    • @babe2be
      @babe2be 3 года назад +2

      Sandra Brookes I loved the actual thing, although what they didn’t tell our group (massive National charity that stated wheelchair users of ALL abilities would be doing it), is that you have to be able to get up into a vehicle to be able to get up to the top in the first place. I’m unable to walk at all, but thankfully my husband was able to lift me into the vehicle. If they have hoists I certainly wasn’t offered the use of one. If I hadn’t have had someone who could lift me then I couldn’t have done it. When I mentioned this, they said ‘we have wheelchair users who do this all the time’, I can only assume they can walk enough to transfer, or there was some aid to help them. Good luck if you manage to do it, it’s a great experience.

I was very nervous when I went on it last year so I didn't enjoy the experience as much as I should have but I know that I'll enjoy myself next time I go there. My video of my Zip-World zip-line experience is on my RUclips channel.

    Stupid question but is there a place to put your phone in the suit they give you to wear.. I’m going on Saturday!

    • @RachelMason83
      @RachelMason83  6 лет назад +1

      Hi! Yes, there is a pocket, so you can take your phone with you to the top. You do have to put your phone away in the suit when on the zip wire though, they won't let you hold it. Enjoy, it's brilliant! :)
