Thank you for this! I just received my SNKL41 in the mail and the bracelet was so awful I had to find an unboxing video to make sure it wasn't a fake. Your watch is just as loose and noisy as mine! Cheers for authentic and beautiful watches with the world's worst bracelets!
Hahah that's kind of hilarious😂 Glad to hear that this was useful! I think you've captured the essence of Seiko 5's in that last sentence there my friend 😂
I just received mine a few days ago. The dial is amazing. I'm typically not a fan of white dials. It's more of a very subtle silver that looks white in different lighting. It's fantastic. I love it. Hope you do it.
We have the same wrist size, those watches fit us very well, now after seeing your review I am in a big dilemma I like them both, although I already have the snkl15 and the snxs77 and they both have hands like these two, although I like it better this box i think i'll buy both 🤔☺️ that was a great review.
Thanks for the vid! I'm waiting for mine to arrive, found a J1 on Creation Watches too! I'm curious about the day language, was you expecting it in English?
Yuri Yes the SNKL41 is unfortunately discontinued. It is however still around here and there. And big grey market dealers like creationwatches and skywatches seem to get new stock in every now and then. So keep on looking and check stores that have previously been sold out, they might still get new old stock from somewhere! That’s how I got mine. Thanks for watching and for the feedback my friend :) Very much appreciated!
@@NordicWatchChannel Found some at skywatches.com.sg but I have no experience with the site or ordering from singapore. Have you ordered anything from them?
Yuri I personally have not.. yet! But two good friends of mine have. The delivery took long but all was ok in the end. I think they chose the cheapest shipping method so might be avoidable by choosing another method.
Hi! I'm a guy with a really really small wrist, 5" circumference approximately. Do you think this watch would fit well? The current watch I have has a lug to lug of 43 cm and it overhangs slightly.
Hi! My first reaction is that this watch will fit well. However, the lug to lug is similar in this watch. So there is a risk for a slight overhang, but I think that’s something you get used to as well.
Anders from Finland Just pulled the trigger on the K version as it was available on creationwatches. This video convinced me and it’s gonna be my first watch so I’m pretty damn excited
That's awesome!! Congratulations on entering the watch-world, there's no turning back my friend ;) Hope you like the watch, happy to hear that this video steered you in that direction :)
Anders from Finland It hasn’t even arrived yet and I already want more. The watch world is not going to be good for my wallet aha. Only thing I’m worried is damage from shipping as I ordered it without the box. Have you had any experience without a box?
Yes i actually got a SNKL23 without a box like 2 years ago. No problem at all. If i recall correctly it came wrapped in some plastic/bubblewrap and a red cloth pouch.
How to properly wound the watch straight from the box? I forgot to do it and just wore it straight away but I noticed after a week of wearing it, if I take it off it stops after 3 or 4 hours. Help pls. Thanks
Hi! As this watch has the Seiko 7s26 movement, it can’t be wound by hand. So the only way to do this is to do the ”Seiko shuffle” and shake it in your hand for a minute or two😂
Hey, I'm trying to figure out the bracelet lug size! RUclipsrs say it's 18mm, but different websites say it is 19mm and 20mm. Specifically the J1 version of this watch. Please help! =D
From what I have heard, the J1 (made in “Japan”) and K1 (“not” made in Japan) are identical other than where they were marketed for. There is no difference in quality between the two. A good example of this (albeit cameras and not watches) is Nikon’s Nikomat cameras back in the 1960s and 1970s. The cameras made in Japan and marketed for sale in Japan were given “Nikomat” on the front, while cameras made in Japan and marketed for Europe, the United States, and elsewhere were given “Nikkormat” on the front; not to distinguish where it was made, but where it was marketed for. If you want “Japan” on your watch, go for the J1. If you don’t care about your watch having “Japan” on it, get the K1. They’re the same watch.
Hi Jason! Yeah, that's what I've heard as well. Personally i like the subtle made in japan text on the dials, but not that much. I did however learn that for example a skx007 J and K models have small differences, like a different color "divers 200m" text or something. But in most cases the watches are identical except for the small detail on the dial.
Hello! I just bought a K for about $100. After purchasing, I kept scrolling and found the K for $140. I was like “eh, I WOULD prefer to have the ‘Made In Japan’ on it but not worth the $40 extra, for me at least!” It is a small detail that I like, too.
The snkl19 looks cool! I’ll keep that in mind if I happen to come accross one, thanks! Same watch different color dial and hands. The Hirsch strap or what? I’d say it’s ”cognac brown”.
