  • Early Lead for Grays Seals Fate For Slurpees
    Slurpees fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 16-7 loss to Grays on Thursday. Grays scored on a single by Jaxon and a double by Charlie in the first inning.
    Despite the loss, Slurpees did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Grays had eight hits on the way to victory.
    Grays got things started in the first inning. Jaxon drove in one when Jaxon singled.
    Slurpees put up three runs in the fifth inning. Slurpees offense in the inning was led by River O, Dylan M, and Rohin J, who each had RBIs in the inning.
    Grays scored five runs in the second inning. The big inning for Grays came thanks to walks by Grayson T, Louis, and Charlie, a single by Everett, and by Logan.
    Everett toed the rubber for Grays. The ace lasted four innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out nine.
    River led things off on the pitcher's mound for Slurpees. The hurler lasted one inning, allowing three hits and seven runs while striking out two. Logan S, Judah L, Matthew O, and Rohin each entered the game as relief, throwing one inning, one inning, one inning, and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
    Slurpees racked up eight hits on the day. Logan, Rohin, and River each racked up multiple hits for Slurpees. River, Rohin, and Logan each collected two hits to lead Slurpees. Slurpees didn't commit a single error in the field. Rohin had the most chances in the field with three.
    Everett went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Grays in hits. Grays tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Everett led the way with two. Grays was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Charlie made the most plays with three.
