That should NOT stop you from training. there is much more in martial arts than just doing splits. Also Kyokushin mainly depends on low kicks. Low kicks are much stronger than high kicks. You are also less likely to lose balance when low kicking. High kicks are only effective because they hit the head and face. Dont let that be a an issue. OSU!
yeah i noticed how lightly they are hitting them so i assumed it must either be sand or perhaps even pebbles. And the rough texture of the bags i really like it have not seen it much. going to construct it in my place see how it goes :)
guys, im learning kyokushin karate... i just got 2 freakin heavy punches from our teacher *like the end of every lesson* for endurance. However, these were not like other lessons. i felt freakin insane pain that i wasn't able to breath for a few seconds... it was terrible and so i wanna know what can i do to strengthen my stomach's muscles so that they would be able to endure and take hits. Thanks guys my karate's class is tomorrow and i dont think im willing to die so i need help, thx..
@ytacc0 you're right, i really didn't express myself correctly (as english isn't my main language). I had only wanted to point out that there is no superior fighting style. Your post however puts "how to choose a Martial Art" into words very well.
@Da1RiSiN1sMoKe Either that, or the joints in your hands and wrists aren't up for the challenge just yet. Some people may need to use gloves first or shore up those fists with knuckle-ups for a while before they go bare-handed.
@cutthatcity All they really have here is a burlap bag, sand, and an apparatus to hang it from. With a little creativity and a trip to the hardware & military store, you can make your own. There are places who sell sandbags, which may be manufactured to last longer, but they get real expensive.
Our trainer if we couldnt spret our legs (180c) and touch the ground.just come behind you and sit on your back..Man that was pain, screaming and you will do it...That was 15 years ago,I treined Kyoku foe 3 years and I had to stop..I teach something for 3 years, everything is possible and theres no thing you cant do,pain is killing but you will eventually do what you need to do!That makes Kyoku unikue, pain pasts eventualy and your body becomes a machine for things you only dreamed of before!
Nice exercises, but wotuhout ppreparation (wearm-ups) and purpopse. In my experience, having spent over 30 years of Karate training, are best suited for after training, or extra trainikng of strenghtening onň s body, basically for any kind of martial arts. Best regards Paul.
@hardyinc To build up your flexibility in your legs to do a split does not take 20 years....I trained in Tae Kwon do and it took me about 4-6 months to actually do a full split...
you find the basic training on the internet. and it dosent realy matter if you are in the dojo or at home the only thing that matters is the amount of work you put into it. work hard. and you will see results. by the way, please do train when you are drunk for maximum results. :)))
Don't be discouraged by my observation, but admittedly, I think training by yourself and traveling to japan to practice Karate is not very realistic, and you're probably not planning things well enough. However, if you do have everything covered, I advise training in Okinawa. Watch the documentary "Human Weapon: Karate". It features a great dojo there, perhaps It'll pick your interest. All the best :)
i have a fudamental question about this traning; it is better to train when you are sober, or when you are almost completly drunk??????. this is the question. and before you answer please take the time to train once while drunk and i mean drunk please the diference and then answer. and please forgive my misspelling i' drunk right now, or so i tink
this is blood, we use the same thing, u know, it's some kidna jute or burlap sack, and that scratches your skin, so yes, it is blood, but it's alright, it makes the skin on your knuckles stronger
you should learn these skills to be able-someday- to step up the stairs of ascensor florida in valparaiso, on a friday or saturday night, when you got drunk and can`t normally see the way.... hahah

George St Peirre one of the greatest mma fighters has his original discipline from kyokushin Karate

@ytacc0 "Someone who can do more than you, will always win."
It's so complex, so the meaning of this sentence is so fail:D

Do połowy filmu jest pokazana sama rozgrzewka.
where is this academy?
@ytacc0 Read The Kyokushin Way and you'll figure out the wrong side of your "comma".
Kjempebra innsats.
@studioworks1990
If you can't punch a bag without gloves, without getting hurt, then the person can't punch correctly.
its not the martial arts its the fighter. no such thing as a superior martial art
people watching this, one question, who will win in a battle. judo black belt or karate black belt????
