Thank you, I’ve watched lots of videos in the past trying to figure this out (to play the didgeridoo) and so far yours made the most sense and you explained it well.
Man , your approach to teaching trumpet is the best explanations I’ve ever heard along with a sense of humour kinda like Art Carney!! Anyway ! Great RUclips videos, the best yet man !!
I learned to do this when I was learning about the didgeridoo but really it's a lifesaver as a low brass player. Line of long soft whole notes? In a texture where even a catch breath will be heard? You 100% can get away with a bit of circular. It's not cheating if it sounds good to the audience.
Good explanation. I’ve been a circular breather for 13 years (didj, tbone) and trying to teach that initial feeling of circular breathing is the toughest thing to do; you did great with it! I’m gonna steal some of your vernacular to use with students. 👍🏼thanks!

As soon as I start to breathe in through my nose all breath stops leaving my mouth
I can finally do it:) not well, but i can do it
Practice makes perfect
@@marcelpiekarz I haven't done it in like 9 months lol
@@MexicanCrusader damn lol
I had it going for a good like 3 seconds but as soon as i thought of stopping my cheeck muscles all the air stopped entirely
Keep working at it and you'll get there! You can always practice without the trumpet to practice keeping it going. Good luck!
Wow. That's crazy!
Excellent Sir 🙏🏼
I can breathe in through my nose, but like I have to stop or else I Feel as I I'm gonna "overfill" my lungs after like 2 second
The trouble for me is pushing the tongue in a way that doesn't interrupt airflow.
Très interessant
awesome
I get the concept of what your saying my problem keeping the note buzzing when I’m breathing any suggestions please?
i cant get a clear tone when trying to do this; and i also cant "refill" my cheeks. do you have anymore tips
i dont even own a trumpet, im play violin, but i watched the whole thing
Same as a bass player
@@ultra_toxic3131 I see who you are.
You are my enemy.
If you want to circular breathe on the violin, you just get a hurdy-gurdy~
@@Johannesburg_aight cmon, lets find the real enemy (viola)
