I’m a first and foremost Godzilla fan, but the Heisei Gamera films, especially this one was in the league of its own. I like how it wasn’t afraid the show the impact and casualties.
Anyone who says Japanese monster movies are just men in cheap rubber suits smashing up unconvincing model sets needs to be sat down and shown this movie.
Because this movie released the exact same year that Godzilla 2000: Millennium first released in Japan, I feel like the 1999 Gamera from Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris is the true Millennium incarnation of Gamera. Despite the fact that the film released during the end of the Heisei era in Japan and was the final entry in the Heisei Gamera trilogy. Also Gamera 1999 vs Godzilla 2000, now that would be a matchup that I would definitely pay to see.
The heisei period in Japan didn't end til 2019, said era is a political era or something like that in Japan in actuality. Same way the showa period didn't end til 1989.
The 90s trilogy was awesome. Some of the best Kaiju movies out there.

*trilogy
It’s like LotR. You can’t watch just one
gamera: I hope you don't mine me parking here!
I liked how the plates on gamera's ccarapace were mobile.
Yeah I loved how they'd shake when he moved.
This was a great scene in a great film from a great trilogy.
Gamera 3 is the only Japanese movie i've seen that could pull off great CGI effects. Sorry Godzilla, but that's one point for the turtle
Ironic how Godzilla swimming in his 1999 movie looked like.
20,000 casualties god damn
1999 Gamera is so awesome!!
Indeed! My fav kaiju movie!
So freaking awesome!
Gamera's version of a superhero landing
No flightdeck, for him to land on. This is the best, he could do.

@@Kaiju-bm4ts I know that.
I hope that netflix will bring this gamera back
They should bring him back like a Spider-Man no way home scenario in the monsterverse
Teenage Mutant Turtles look a lot more intense than I remembered
ガメラ、かっけぇ~。
半端ないっす
Sure gamera is destructive
But he does make up for his power
“Oh my god, were so sorry! How did Jim die?”
“Flying turtle landed on him with his rocket feet.”
Do u play roblox?
Beyblade let it rip
