Great video and explanation, but 25:05 won't it be the same Bc4+ and after Ke8, Bf7+, just takes one more turn, it could just be a slight positional advantage having the enemy king so far from other pieces though

    • @YouMeAndChess
      @YouMeAndChess  Год назад +1

You are right @Rtheghost , in that case it would work. But instead of Ke8, black can play a strong move e6. Check out the variation below to understand why e6 is a strong move.
      7. Bc4+ e6
      8. Qxd8 Bb4+
      9. Qd2 Bxd2+
      10. Nxd2
and here both the players are equal in material. Hence, Bg6+ is the best move instead of Bc4+.

it should be bishop g6 check, because the king cannot go back because of the bishop which is controlling the diagnols and it also sets a discovery attack on the queen, so the king is forced to take the free bishop. And one more thing can you show how to trap the queen in the scholars mate, cause i always get checkmated with that mate, this video helped me a lot my rating is now 800 because i used your technies to trap the queen. thank you for this wonderful video, my name is nabil, i am from Bangladesh

Simply valuable. To comprehend such lines, maintain two proper strategical ideas, lock it into your brain - Deflect the enemy King away from the queen. Develop ideas to pull enemy queen out on the board. Trust me, someday your strategy may develop to an extent that you give can give birth to new ideas on traps of your own. Practice with proper understanding matters a lot and, that it takes less time to pour out in actual games. If your ideas are clear, you will never forget. Thanks.

My favorite Queen trap line comes out of the Jobava London opening:
    d4, d5
    Nc3, Nf6
    Bf4, c6 (or c5)
    e3, Qb6 (Q attacking b2)
    a3, (white allows) Qxb2
    Na4
Black usually thinks for 60-90 seconds trying to figure out where to move their Queen
    usually B: Qxa1, W: Qxa1

At 13:20 mark when you promote the knight and check the king what if they dont take with the rook? What if they just move the king to the e1 black square right next to the queen again?

    • @YouMeAndChess
      @YouMeAndChess  Год назад +1

      Good question @ratedg5503
In that case, black has earned tremendous advantage in the game because white has lost the right to castle and hence his king will stuck in the centre of the board, extremely vulnerable to black's powerful and deadly attack by his pieces. Secondly, white is down in material as he has lost an extra pawn. Both these advantages are sufficient enough to make White lose the game.

agar Ke1 pe gaya, toh black phirse attack karega Qh4+,
If white blocks the check with g3, then Qd4+ forks white's king and the rook.
If Ke2, then Bg4+ puts a skewer and wins the white queen.
If Kd2, then Qf2+ wins material.

yes you are right but black has better option to equalise the game by playing e6
      Bc4+ e6
      Qxd8 Bb4+
      Bd2 Rxd8
      Bxb4
and the material now is equal.

They play Pawn e2 to pawn e4 threatning your pawn then use knight b8 to c6 they capture your pawn threatning your knight move knight to c6 to d4 they threat you again pawn c2 to c3 Then your queen e8 to a4 checking the opponents king They block it with pawn b2 to b3 also threatning your queen move bishop c8 to f5 most people takes the queen ofc bishop f5 to c2 Checkmate

      Good question!
Here is how Black can continue to attack:
      8. Ke1 Qh4+ (black brings another attacker)
      9. g3 Qe4+ (forks the king and the rook)
      10. Kd2 Bg4 (bishop attacks the queen and thereby black activated one more attacker)
      11. Qa4+ Nc6
      12. Rxg2 Rd8+ (one more black piece joins the attack)
.....and white's king is completely exposed and is terribly losing the game.

6:35 why doest it not work too? at this time if king go back too e8, white can still play Bf7+, the white king has to take it and again loose defence on queen no?
The reason Bc4+ dont work is probably because of Nd5 blocking the check and the file to the queen at the same time. Black gives back a piece and white is probably better, but white is not winning a queen then. Since Bxd5+ is a check, but the the bishop is in between the queens. so the king just has to move to a dark square.
Ah, if Bc4+ black also have e6 witch is better than Nd4. after e6: Qxd8, black has Bb4+ with discovery on the black queen. Famous line in several openings, can also occor from the danish gambit.
And i was right, i check with comp. If Bc4+ black has to find e6, or Sd5 (witch is still bad). Because Ke8 is a blunder. Bf7+, there is no escaping for black, comp eval is -5,5 ish as black looses the queen pawn and casteling for the bishop and knight.
