We need to do a Shakespeare play performed in the original Klingon it was written in. There's actually videos of that already on RUclips. But it'd be great to be able to watch it while reading the script that shows the klingon being said, and a translation into English underneath every single line.

Only Germany can do the Klingon culture justice. And the language. Bang the drums, spit the consonants, spread the lore. Behold the red haired shield maidens!
@@spartancanis_yt_channel Well, not exactly. If I remember correctly, Klingons r Russians (Cold War, cyrillic, n'stuff). Romulus, seems to be China (secret police, sacrifice of the individual), and Vulcan is Japan (seemingly cold, calculating). later on, the Germans seem to be the Cardassians, a Nation who was famous for their strict compliance, bureaucracy, and enslaving another religion, defaming their sentient rights. Yeah, but clearly human actors/singers. For example, the female holds the bat’leth dangling, while a klingon would have a more menacing attitude with such a weapon anytime. Next time, I hope they will hire a klingon crew.
the sad thing is ive never wanted tolearn another language moreso than after seeing this. but i doubt future employers are going to be excited to see klingon as a secondary language skill
Lost Luna Learning another language takes patience, dedication and hard work. Any language would look good to future employers. For all you know, a potential employer could be a a Klingon speaker.
someone should make subtitles for this I love star trek but, I do not have the mental capacity to learn a new language let alone one this... loud? (I don't know how else to explain it)
At one point a full video of the opera was available on their website, along with a BTS documentary, but the link has since gone down. If anyone has a copy, the world needs it.
Surprisingly good for a pastiche effort! Needs a bit more modal melody I feel though; it's a bit too Richard-Strauss-meets-power-ballads as it is. Also, no continuo? Surely proper Klingon opera cries out for appropriate Klingon continuo?
Einfach genial.
I could cry. That someone wrote a actual Klingon Opera and people actually studied it to perform it. Glory to the Empire, Glory to your House!
With enough money, you can make people do weird stuff.
I would totally pay to see one live.
Now we need a full 8 hour klingon opera!

@@duffman18 There is McBeth in Klingon available as a book. Which is amazing. Comes even with the translation of course ^^
I want more of this 😍
I also want the full version of Aktuh and Melota 😂
Even more of what the Klingon chef sang in DS9.
As a Star Trek lover who sings opera, this is amazing
q'plah!
@@unclejoeoakland which language?
It's as beautiful as I imagined Klingon opera would be.
this piece really demands the power of klingon vocals
Someday, when shall our Internet be scanned by outside lifeforms, they'll actually believe Klingon society existed...
I meant as a race from planet Qo'nos
Makes sense! Q'apla!
And Vulcan.

Many thanks for this. I needed a Klingon opera for a Star Trek role playing scenario and yours is the best recording I can use!
It feels so primal my bones are shaking.
Only Germany can do the Klingon culture justice. And the language. Bang the drums, spit the consonants, spread the lore. Behold the red haired shield maidens!

I kinda think Roddenberry modeled the klingons after the Germans and romulans after the Romans and russians

Being a Trekker, and a Klingon fan , I find this vid a 10 out of 10 !!!
I'd love to see the whole opera with English subtitles.
you never 'just' learn a new language, man... especially ones with very few native speakers, those are the hardest.
That is very few compared to most languages. Makes it hard to find people to practice with.
Where can we find them?
Some of us won’t be able to learn it or deal with the subtitles. Dyslexia sucks.
☝🏻Ah, Human* subtitles.
i wish all opera was like this i would listen all the time
you might enjoy Beijing opera in that case
Try Wagner
I was there and it was honorable
So here I was ready to have a nice night watching the karo-net match...and I wind up spending an agonising evening listening to Klingon opera!
