I always remember warm summer evenings and riding my big motorcycle into the city and this music going through my thoughts. What I was doing, was just as laid back, relaxed and easy going as this beautiful song. It was so cool to slowly 'thump thump thump' up the long avenues and past the night spots and past all the other big bikes backed onto the kerbs and to know that heads were turning and looking at my slow ride. Hey, I was 18 and it was such a nice time to be alive as it always is when the whole world is still new and to be explored.

Thank you and thank you for your kind words. That was almost 50 yrs ago I would do that on the beautiful warm twilight evenings in my city. A lot of years have come and gone and a whole world was explored to a certain degree but I'd need a dozen lifetimes to even just begin to scratch the surface. The feel of a big bike is magic on a warm evening but I'm probably so different from so many as I like the 'slow ride'. Its what has kept me alive all these years later. I had a Harley stolen about 7yrs ago and that was the last time I rode but deep down I kinda know it most likely saved me from something nasty out there on the roads. But I've still got some great memories and yes, the Platters singing 'Twilight Time' brings back so many of those years gone by. God Bless you as well.

Who wouldn't love to be able to dance to music like this again ? I can almost feel my feet moving on the dance floor. Never was much of a dancer, but songs like this just naturally moved you.
A timeless classic. So romantic and classy. In my humble opinion, The Platters did much to elevate the public's perception of my people. A staircase whose lowest risers we have mounted. It's such a pity that as a people we have allowed ourselves to become distracted from scaling it's utmost heights, by catering to our lowest common denominators. But, hope as they say, springs eternal...
