Old Willie is still with us at the grand age of 90.
There's something to be said about smoking Marijuana each and every day as an adult. Can't begin to imagine how many pounds it all adds up to but I am sure it exceeds Willie's body weight. 😮
@@craigjgomez We're talking multiple tons.... A big reason why I call myself the millennial Willie Nelson
@@seanhitchcock2497 Not something to be proud of bro. It will catch up to you in one way or another. You're not WIllie. Trust me, mang. Dangerous train of thought right there.
Sincerely,
40 year dope head
When late night was fun!!! On his website, there’s a clip where says he’s 92 and he was in the studio working. God bless him! A National Treasure!
I will go to my grave missing Carson. LOL Man I miss TV worth watching !
In this segment Johnny mentioned that Willie will be appearing in Fayetteville Ar. I was at that concert. Remember it well.
I remember seeing this on the Johnny Carson show....a long time ago.😅
Earlier this year I went to Austin, Luckenbach and Abbott. Just to honor Willie Nelson. What a man, what a voice, what a music.
Awesome !! I'd like to do that some day !!
Thanks for posting !
La voce di Willie, e riconoscibile tra mille voci... 😊🤗😍😘🎶🎸🎶💘💞💋💯🌅
I love that Willie wore "The Color Purple" cap on stage for a national TV show - he's just the BEST.
I remember watching this with my Dad. I was 17. And Willie is still here! ❤
I remember watching this when it aired!!!!!!!!!!!! ☮️💟💟💟💟. Thank you!!!!!!!!
If you look up the definition of ‘national treasure’, you’d see a photo of Willie Nelson.
no the movie with Nic Cage comes up
A SUPER FAN SINCE 1973, A LEGEND!!❤❤❤❤
He's performing in New York on November 3rd, 2023...wish l could attend! Love, love, love him!
brings back memories. I remember in the 1980s on some entertainment show saying that Johnny Carson shows were underground like in vaults to be protected. Then I believed we'd never see anything from those vaults from Johnny's show. So amazing to see them again now.
An as this date in 2023, Willie has outlived Johnny by 20 years. Who'da thunk?!
Evidently, marijuana is safer than cigarettes.
Omg this is absolutely priceless.
Two Greats! ... and I don't mean maybe. This is an unforgettable duet.
Jonny was the best late night will never be the same glad I grew up watching him so good
Wow, what I would not give to go back to these days. It was such a more relaxed time. Everybody got along, the country was united, patriotic. I had just graduated high school. And I'll always remember a few years before that, my early teens, feeling like I was a grown-up lol, because I finally got to stay up and watch Johnny Carson.
That’s a totally inaccurate and biased projection of your personal nostalgia onto history. You just like the idea of things being better then because it represents your youth. Every generation has felt this way.
The country was screwed up then, too. We just weren't paying attention.
This is the best!............GO Johnnie! GO Willie!
My husband is gone now but he was a good twin to Willie Nelson everybody said that he could have played his novel my husband passed away in 2001
There are select guitarists with a unique sound and tone. Hendrix, SRV, Edward Van Halen, to name a few. But of all of them, Willie with Trigger has got to be the most distinctive. I love the sound of that old Martin.
It sounds unique because it's out of tune.
@@tombarclay7108 it's because of the second hole that willie has worn in it. it's not out of tune
It ain't all that bro
Agreed! B.B. King and Lucille fit that description, too.
He gets that sound out of the quarter bag of weed he keeps stuffed in there
Golden memories!
this brought a smile to my face from beginning to end.
I've always liked Willie.
Two class acts, Johnny Carson and Willie Nelson. There will never be another two like them!
No offense intended but for as long as lived (& I'm 45), Willie Nelson has been a senior citizen! The man just keeps going!
Brings tears to my eyes -- our forgotten aspirations and good Willie voicing it with his inimitable style and talent. And I always love to see and hear Mickey Raphael adding zest with his juice harp. Thanks for posting!
Hello 🌹cutie blessings upon you.
How are you feeling today ?
No one comes close to late nite TV J.C. and the guest's he had, just awsome!
Willie's been an old man for 40 years
Gingers tend to go white young, but the odd thing is that he has always dyed his scalp since turning but never has his beard. His mustache still had some red here.
Willie still has his acoustic guitar with the worn hole from playing. He was great to see and a wonderful member of Outlaws album. Willie, Waylon, Jessie and Glasser.
Trigger
Listening to Willie over 40 years. 1st I heard this, and it's my favorite already. 🇺🇲🎍👨🌾
I love this man.
There was a concert in Arizona in 1984 where Julio was performing, someone was walking through the aisle to the stage. The audience was chanting Johnny, Johnny as they thought it was Johnny Carson. It was Willie who went up and sang with Julio.
Julio tells about that on one of his Carson appearances. He said he had spoofed the audience when he said he was going to sing To All the Girls with a special guest. He said the audience started screaming “Johnny! Johnny! Johnny!” As he tells it, the lights were dimmed on purpose and the spotlight went to the feet of the person waiting in the wings. As the audience roared with anticipation, it was revealed that it was actually Willie!!! Apparently m, they then roared with delight!
Those were very good days…🎉
I miss you, Johnny. ❤
Love how even Johnny couldn’t hold back his laughter here 4:22
Loved this 😊😊😊
Johnny and willie... ❤️ 💙 💜
Super fun! Two wonderful performers. Thanks for posting this.
Rest In Peace, Johnny Carson.
What a wonderful good time. I always peak Carson's career when a good video comes up, but this one inspired me to order his biography. Can't wait to read it.
You've got to give the band credit for staying with Willie as his sense of time is elastic.
Indeed. He’s also very hard to sign with. Years ago I was talking with Emmy Lou Harris and asked her who was the hardest to sing with. And she’s sang with some great but challenging singers, like Graham Parsons, Townes and Willie, she said Wille was the most challenging. He has a jazz influenced phrasing sometimes and it hangs people up. You just don’t expect it from a red neck from a small town in Texas.
Love how Willie starts off mimicing Julio Iglesias voice, knowing that Johnny and Julio had done this song as a comedy sketch with Johnny dressed as Willie Nelson. Hilarious!!!🤣🤣🤣
Saw Willie at his bday celebration. Still at it!
I saw that funny skit with Julio and Johnny my parents gave me the tonight show with Johnny Carson VHS 📼 videos collection as a 8 th grade graduation gift 🎁😁😄😍.
Way more entertaining than Fallon!
A different time, a different form of comedy.
Bellissimo video per una canzone molto bella! Amo Willie Nelson... 😊🤗😍😘🎶🎸🎶💘💞💋💯🌅
Why cant we be honest with each other like it used to be, like this.!?
This is rad
Awesome days
golden
Willie has been a 65 year old man for 65 years.
Prime Willie 🎼
Great TV!
I thought nothing could top Julio and Johnny. I was wrong. I especially love how the one guitarist was doing a lousy job of not laughing.
Johnny is great

La country est une musique où les artistes racontent leur vie et leurs amours tristes quelques femmes ont percé parmi tous ces hommes et certains se sont associé pour le meilleur
Pour moi Johnny Cash est l'un des meilleurs avec kristoffersen comme parolier
This is the most Country-ass thing I have seen in a dog's age.
Willie looks thrown and briefly annoyed when Johnny messed up the lyrics at 5:22 ('the winds of change are always blowing" -- not "continue blowing"). You can see him guide Johnny at 5:41.
Bro… I noticed that and more… was johnny trying to hint at something?
❤😎👍
When Americans will laugh with abandon to a great skit.
When the US was great. 🇺🇸
☮️💟☮️💟
Americas not so free anymore ole willie
Wasn't so free back than either. There was just no internet or widely available independent/ non bias/ non government regulated media sources and people were all still fast asleep.
@@PApro communist news network was still around, you're right.
R U kidding? The most free country on earth. Go clean yer piece

God bless him, but Willie ain't no Glen Campbell on the geetar.
no one is Glen Campbell on the guitar

Clooney didn't sing this song in the movie. He lip synced it. He did try to record it but it was terrible. So they brought someone else in.
1986 > today
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every wealthy liberal and rhino in America: 🎶"Bring us your tired and weak...but they can't camp on my lawn...🎶
I don't think that was the best of impressions but maybe he meant it to be a roast or something (?!)
Yeah no
One of the worst guitarists the world has ever known. Willie Nelson. But he wrote Crazy for Patsy Cline so that only makes him a legend.
Not to mention...
...you *really* need to work on your lame trolling skills...gky... XD
Willie still cant sing. How he got so popular is beyond me. Gotta love him for the smoking dope and keeping him healthy.
That's because he's not a singer. He's a storytelling crooner...😄😄
And he's been a great writer for many years with so many who came to fame singing what he wrote.
He’s more like the Bob Dylan of country. Voice doesn’t matter when someone is that brilliant of a poet and songwriter.
Favorite stoner
This was after Johnny Carson sang this song with Julio Iglesias as Willie Nelson isn't it. People can look that up if they want.
Carson sounds more like Tony Clifton singing.
