I worked at a major hospital in Seattle, Washington as a CNA. Before we could be hired, we had to read 3 different doctors booklets about blood transfusions and how very extremely dangerous they are. They mentioned blood transfusions was ONLY meant if you are in an extreme situation, like a literal war zone with no access to water, then you can use other soldiers to give blood immediately. (That is why all the military dog tags have your blood type on them. I know. I was in the Navy.) All of us were shocked how bad they are. One doctors booklet literally said "Blood transfusions are like Russian roulette. Even if the patient survives, the problems they will have the rest of their life are many." Then, they made us sign a document stating that we can NEVER tell anyone, the patient or the family, any of the information we read!!!!!!!! 95% of the people we gave blood transfusions to DIED. The booklets also mention that just because you have the same blood type as someone in need only matters very little.
And, one nurse showed us at different times patients invoices for blood transfusions. The ones without insurance got charged $50.00 a pint while the ones with insurance got charged $500.00. One man who was dying from brain cancer and was rich got charged $ 1,500.00 a pint!!
For years hospitals LIED saying that you can store your blood for your own surgery weeks ahead of time!!! People got diseases like hepatitis and AIDS! The people sued and won but you never heard that on the news.
Why do you think hospitals and surgeons are changing to bloodless surgery? The real reason is that their hospital's high costs of millions of dollars a year in malpractice insurance drops dramatically. Also, I personally know hematologists. The truth is: no matter what -blood starts dying and only has a 24-36 hour lifespan. Go online and READ what hospitals ALL over the world are changing to bloodless surgery.
The fact is too: your body makes new red blood cells all the time. There is a counter somewhere inside the body, doctors think it's inside the brain, that counts your body blood cell level.
I am trying to find the article in which a surgeon said " The reality is surgeons will now have to practice excellent surgery instead of the slop style. Because blood was available, we didn't really care how many blood vessels we cut. Now we have to be more precise."
I eventually became a Jehovah's Witness. Not only because of this but more importantly, the other religions I attended do not practice what they preach. I recommend to all to go to JW.ORG and watch the free videos. Especially the ones of scientists, doctors, etc experiences of what they have to say.

What an absolute and complete pile of nonsense. Perhaps you can share these "doctor booklet" sources? Or this paper you signed that stated 95% of people transfused died? I'm not sure if you are purposely lying or simply that ignorant.
First of all, chances are of you need blood......you are already having a bad day. The blood you receive from a donor (usually not whole blood, but packed red cells), is recycled out of your body through natural processes within a couple months at most. Your chances of getting HIV are currently 1 in 2.1M. Hep C it's 1 in 280K. Aspirin........yes Aspirin, is responsible for infinitely more deaths than blood every year. This is easily verified. In fact, a federal law requires death due to complications of blood transfusion to be reported. It's about 50-60 every year (usually due to human error). Aspirin kills about 3K people a year.
So the reality is that every medical intervention has risks. EVERY medical intervention. Painting blood as "dangerous" is irresponsible and wrong. What is dangerous, is people that have no idea what the Bible actually says and does not say, attributing some superstition to transfer of blood from one human being to another, and refusing it for themselves or their children. 10's of thousands have died over this.
I'm sorry my friend. Your comments require evidence, and sound disingenuous.

@@vandalayindustries8036 The booklets are at Providence Hospital. The document we signed is also at the hospital. But the only way you are going to see one by getting a job there. And if you don't think we were forced to sign a confidentiality agreement on this, you are crazy. We were told you either sign or you cannot work here! I was desperate for work along with the others. 2 people would not sign and quit that day. We worked on a terminal care ward. The increase of blood transfusions as the patient worsened did not help at all. I had to get the bags of blood, watch an RN hook them up, then had to stand watch because the most critical time is the first 20 minutes of blood complications. I do not really care what you or anyone thinks if I am lying. I lived it along with my coworkers. But make sure you look up BOTH sides of the info on medical procedures, the positive and the negative and not just be naive into believing the positive hype. The Internet has info on the many different hospitals in the world that have gone bloodless and the INDISPUTABLE facts of better patient health and recovery times . Tell these highly educated medical professionals they are wrong. 10's of thousands have died over this! I have never came across that. Besides, you misquote by stating I signed a document stating 95% of people died. Reread please. There are exclamation points that end the sentences you put together. Aspirin and other things do cause a higher rate of mortality. But to tell me what doctors have published and I have read about the dangers of blood transfusions and saying I am lying is just being ignorant. Actually, some of your statements I cannot find proof of.
Besides, the people that are doing research into not only this but the Bible are streaming in and being baptized by the thousands around the earth at JW conventions. Why? Because they quit believing the lies of major religious teachings. For example, religions say for many centuries that immorality is bad and condemned in the scriptures (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) but now it is acceptable by Almighty God just to tickle the ears of the masses. WRONG. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 is being fulfilled right now. Use any Bible. Psalm 37:10-11, 29, & 34. John 5:28-29 which happens during Judgement Day at Revelation 20:12-13. By the way, 1 Thessalonians 5:3 was fulfilled even more on CNN about 4 weeks ago. The United Nations set up 2 new department for Peace and Security in January. Bush, Obama, and Trump have spearheaded the Peace and Security plan into the United Nations while mass media didn't show it all these years. Trump got labeled "King of Peace and Security". Look it up on the internet. There is ample proof. I highly doubt you will look up all this info. However, there are intelligent people out there that will. Have a nice day.

@@pslm23 the fact remains blood in many cases is still neccessary to survival. Sometimes in trauma. Sometimes leukemia and other diseases. Sometimes in other acute medical care. Blood is neither "bad" nor "good". It's a tool in a toolbox, that should be up to the patient to use. Not something forbidden under threat of communal shunning.

    • @vandalayindustries8036
      @vandalayindustries8036 4 года назад +2

@@pslm23 thanks for the response. However your comments are incorrect on more than one level.
First, the Old Testament forbids the eating of the blood of an animal whose life you have taken. There is no universal abstention requirement (and if there was, JWs would still be in violation of it as they draw from the blood donor pools for all sorts of products). In Acts 15 the context would have been easy for primitive Christians to understand meant eating.
In fact, there were exceptions made when blood was eaten, and no punishment (certainly not death), was netted out. Are you familiar with those verses?
Second, a blanket statement that the risks outweigh the benefits of blood transfusion can be thrown out. Every medical diagnosis and decision made for intervention requires risk. All of them. Blood products are used by the millions in the USA alone, and the deaths from blood transfusion are registered every year. It varies from about 45-60 people a year. It almost always is as a result of human error. Juxtapose that with Aspirin......which kills about 3,000 people a year.
Of course Aspirin is not inherently dangerous. Nor is properly screened blood as the risk of infection is ridiculously low, and infection does not neccesarily equal death.
The real question here is why you think this patently false thing is true. The answer is that your religious leaders policy is respond for the death of thousands of people of all ages continuing until even today. They have a vested interest in somehow conveying that blood is just "bad medicine". It isn't. It is just one more tool at the disposal of the doctor and patient with risk to be weighed like every other intervention.
Im sure you are motivated out of love for your God, and your belief system. But in adopting this doctrine you have placed yourself square in the camp of having to deal with bloodguilt should you ever have preached this to someone else as required for them to have a relationship with God.
