- Mike, Jane and Andy play Silent Hills' PT at long last to see if the PS4 exclusive "playable teaser" for the now-cancelled survival horror series sequel Silent Hills is as scary as reputed. In this first episode, the Outside Xbox horror survivalists face an endless looping hallway, a bloody foetus in a sink, spooky noises out the wazoo and Lisa the tall ghost lady. It's mostly heart-stopping terror but then they get a free flashlight. So a mixed day.
The PT download for PS4 is unfortunately no longer available on the PlayStation Store (Mike downloaded it in 2014 and saved it for a scary day).

Yeah it is Beanie. My point however was that since it is not a cap, it is not actually reversed (a beanie doesn't really have a front or back).
You main argument is still sound though, a beanie is great for covering your eyes when it gets too scary.

I love Andy's plan of yelling "I swear I didn't trust the tap water!" to get the ghost to leave him alone. It's clearly the best plan

I love that Andy's first reaction to terror is always singing. It's a very normal reaction.
I just love how everyone reacts differently to jumpscares. Mike starts laughing without moving an inch, Andy backs off to couch and Jane hides face in her hands:D

She is scared. Not of the game but of herself. Because she knows deep down in her heart that she would have done worse. Worse than we all could ever imagin.

LoesungFeuer5 Exactly, she recognizes the darkness that resides within her. To see that evil reflected in others is truly terrifying as she understands how malevolent their intentions can be. Wether it be in the monster standing in your hallway at night or in the stranger riding the same bus, she will see them.

The best part of any oxbox horror playthrough is ALWAYS Mike just sitting there with a big grin on his face, completely unperturbed, while everyone else loses their minds. XD

I approve of Andy's method of "If you're already yelling, you can't be scared."
It's also interesting how much scarier a game is when you aren't carrying around a weapon. Can't even punch anything.
I think horror games that don't even allow you a basic weapon are trash. I totally kills the immersion. A real person would try to defend themselves.

The best part is Andy is several standard deviations more easily frightened than average and Mike is one thousand percent less frightened than the most stoic individual on Earth

I'm wondering what would be scarier in RL: to turn around and see something dreadful or to walk backwards and bump into something without knowing what it is.
I mean, if you bump into something backwards and don't know what it is, there's still a possibility that it's just a giant huggable teddy bear. Schrödinger's spook?

Loved it, I needed these three playing more spooky games, lol. Also loving this channel, its so good to see them not be so restrained by 'Xbox'. I mean, I know they didn't have anything against other consoles, but now they can mess around freely without getting flak for it.
Quite franckly, I spend way more time looking at the facecam than the gameplay. So awesome to see all there reactions! Like Jane prepraing herself for something scary by clinching her hands, or Mike's laughing after each of Andy & Jane's screams!
I can never watch these without pausing every so often to give my heart a break, the game isn't what scares me, it's the anticipation and Andy's screaming

This game is a clear marvel in the horror franchise. It is also funny how they make it anxious for the player. The whole time you are going down the same corridor, with slight differences between variations. It is like the definition of insanity. You try to do something over and over and expect to get different results. Except here, you occasionally do.
Watching this old gem again in preparation for Ellen’s Fear Academy later today! Just to keep it fresh in mind just how much Andy yelped when he played! 😋
