I've been a large dog lover my entire life but this Chantelle male Shiloh has definitely warmed our family's hearts . He's like a human in a cats body tells me when the litter box needs cleaning, has learned how to play catch and throw back the fuzz ball, when he wants to be brushed or petted and played with Follows me all over the place and the weirdest of all he will look at me then look at the object he wants whether its a ball or snack or wants me to open the screen doors. Amazing family cat.
My Chantilly ( Hope) was the best cat ever just passed away today, Me and my family had him for 16 years and he was the life of the family, the protector of the house, and I really miss him but I know he is in kitty Heaven running around and having a blast, I just wanted to be reminded of him one last time.
We have had our Chantilly for over 12 years, he is one of the most demanding of attention we have ever seen. He ( the Moose ) has been a wonderful pet and family member, what a wonderful breed of Cat.
Our girl 'Baby' is 17 years old now, and is still very active, although slowing. She's gray and her little feet are silver. She has always been a jumper, and has made some that I have no idea how she didn't fall. She's still a loving and smart member of our family. She has taught many of our other cats her little tricks, and loves to play fetch. She has also helped 8 other cats we've had after her. She sleeps on my chest every night too. We love her very much., and I can't imagine life without her!
I will say that Frigo was the best darn pet I ever had. This video pegged his personality to a tee, I was the one he was attached to and when I went on an LDS Mission for two years He would go back and forth from the front door to my bedroom everyday looking for me. He would talk to me when he needed food or the litter box needed cleaning, and learned to do a few tricks like giving me a high five, opening doors and turning off light switches. He lived to the good old age of twenty and mellowed out in his old age. I could have never asked for a better pet. I recommend this cat to anyone who is looking for a good pet to have around other animals and children. The only thing he was ever mean to was a kitten who would pick fights with him first. Just be sure to keep grass and milk away from them it does do terrible things to their digestive tract.
I’m so obsessed with my Chantilly! He’s hilarious when he’s playful, he’s so tolerant of my antics, and the biggest attention seeker I’ve ever met! He definitely picked a favorite human and follows me everywhere I go. He’s simply the best I can’t believe how lucky I am that I chose him from the shelter!
I have a Chantilly. Her name is Nakia(from black panther) The BEST CAT EVER! Was never a small cat guy. She’s forever changed my heart. Love her so much 🙏🏼❤️
I just learned my black cat is a chantilly yesterday!! I learned about the breed and it’s crazy i never knew. I got her from the shelter 14 years ago, i’m 20 years old today. I love my baby Midnight so much.
I love my Chantilly Shaquila! She is one of the sweetest cats I've ever had. She has chirp type vocals that I love. She and I can carry on a long conversation..I really believe she understands...
My cat is a beautiful Chantilly. Her name is Mamas bc I also have her baby when I adopted them together. Mamas makes a very cute cartoonish chirping meow and does these adorable half circle rubs during breakfast. She loves when I pat her down with a slightly damp paper towel. I think she thinks I’m licking her when I pat her down or maybe she just loves feeling clean. I love her and her baby so much!
My Chantilly is mean and territorial. She is very attached to me and always wants my attention. She plays fetch and is constantly moving all of her toys to whatever room I am in at the time. She yells at me until I clean her litter box. She is a very vocal cat and mischievous. Her name is Daisy Mae and she is 7 years old. I love her to pieces. She doesn't care much for any one else, including my husband. She yells at him when he tries to talk to me or when he comes into the room. She stalks some of our visitors, including my daughter and my two granddaughters. We dog sat my SIL's dog once and she stalked her so bad the dog didn't want to be in the same room. Daisy was really friendly when she was little. As she got older she became territorial and protective of me.
We've a young female tiffany that we've had 7mths now and she's like my shadow and follows me everywhere and cries for me when I leave the house. A beautiful nature, bit clingy but got to love them and their little mrrps and trilling
Prior to her being spayed, my chantilly was extremely aggressive in being protective/territorial of me. Including leaping to attack the faces of strangers that she found threatening to me or my daughter. She also neatly piled a girlfriend's underwear by the front door, kitty had decided she was a hussy & needed to go 😄 Her other quirks are cute & bizarre for a cat - if I play my guitar she will pluck the strings of another guitar along with me. She tries to barter her favorite toy for human food she finds interesting. She flushes the toilet to watch the water, loves girly powders & posing in a mirror.
I had a Chantilly for 17 years. He would stand at the back door sidelight when it was time for me to come home. I loved Boomer almost as much as my children. He loved the family and other cats, but I belonged to him.
Also, I did have to get another cat because she felt lonely at night when people were sleeping even if in the same room. She is a good cat, except for when she discovered people food last year. She refuses to behave regarding it. I had to get after her 4 times while carving a turkey for jumping on the counter right in front of me wanting to eat it D:
Have also Chantilly Tiffany got him as a rescue! Owner could not take care of him Blackie which owner named him and I don't change there names was so matted that I had to have him shaved so he looked like a black lion! I live in an apt with 3 floors and Blackie Demands to be walked at 4 o'clock every day on his leash! His first owner had him as a kitten! Also have a Bombay that looks like a miniature Panther! There relationship is a love hate they do play with each other at times! Blackie very very verbal when it gets to be too much I tell Bindy to get him and then Bindy will play with him to make him stop!I could write a book on them and stuff they do! They Both pick up on my moods! Having Blackie is like having a small dog as he meows to go out! Both are inside cats and both like the balcony!
If they don’t have an undercoat, how do they shed?? Also I have seen many other videos about this breed that say they are NOT independent and WILL follow you at your heels all around the house BECAUSE they are so comfortable around their designated human…
I'm so sorry, we just lost ours yesterday. Absolutely devastated. She talked so much, all kinds of different sounds that meant different things. After my daughter left for college we insisted on keeping her. She loved having both my wife and I to be together with her. She was a stray, I had no idea she was a special breed until I started looking at pictures today. Such beautiful loving beings.
Do your babies hiss? In two years I've never heard my Chantilly growl or hiss lol. If she doesn't like something, she just cries and waits for me or her Big Sister to fix it 😂
Frigo would, only because of his past experiences with certain people and other animals he had trust issues at first, He never hissed at me unless I accidently spooked him or teased him unnecessarily. But he would hiss at other animals if they were mean to him first or they were another male cat.
My family got a cat 3 years ago and I think he may a chantilly. They never told us his breed but every pic I see of a cat like that looks EXACTLY like him. Especially his fluffy tail. His name is prince and he nears characteristics too. Only difference is he’s a little small and skinnier than the cats in this video (we feed him well he just doesn’t eat a lot) and he’s slightly less fluffy than the pics I’ve seen online but he’s very fluffy. But yeah he has most of the characteristics and basically all the physical traits
best cat breed ever

hi how is the shedding for this breed?
Oh my god. My cat is on the cover of this video!

She's still probably got a few good years in her, Frigo started slowing around fifteen and made it to twenty. Cherish her.
I had one growing up. He was an amazing cat

Yeah, the frequent 'talking' most surprised me, and mine even gives a brief chirp to announce her arrival and departure (lol)!
I love my chantilly Lulu. She is such a diva omg. But she is the sweetest and most mild nature cat I ever met
My boy Señor Churro is so kind. He sounds like a dying parrot when meowing, but that’s okay cause he’s so cute. He loves bow ties
I have a Chantilly. Her name is Nakia(from black panther) The BEST CAT EVER! Was never a small cat guy. She’s forever changed my heart. Love her so much 🙏🏼❤️
I have a 7 year old Chantilly Tiffany “Misty” she’s really friendly. Their breed are very tame and soft and very nice to other animals

Frigo was the same way with me. I had him for about twenty years before he passed. No other cats are like them.
My cat is 12. I just discovered today after 9 years this this is what she is. She was a rescue

What's the difference between it and the York chocolate?
I adopted an older Chantilly female and I thought she was dirty until I realized she had a dusty chocolate coat 😹
I just lost mine and am devastated. Does anyone know where icould rescue/adopt/purchase one. My baby was black.
I'm so sorry, we just lost ours yesterday. Absolutely devastated. She talked so much, all kinds of different sounds that meant different things. So sorry! Hope you find another! The first owner had not a clue what he had! I found out when I goggle lens my Kitty!
Mine loves pats but if you pick her up it's on
Same 😩lol
"She bought similar heterosexual kittens." Heterosexual kittens? I'm done here.
